I was charged fraudulently in July. Orchard bank charged me an over the limit fee for those charges. I had to call repeatedly long distance to get them taken care of, they finally did. Fine, you would think. Then I did go over my limit. They charged me 30.00 bam! Before my payment was due and in less than 2 weeks the charged me again 30.00 and raised my payment 30.00 more dollars. I called them, certain that they would take care of it. WRONG! The woman was rude and said NO WAY we just issued you a credit in July. No more credits for you. Nice, so please be warned DO NOT do business with these shady companies. They get you when you are down and they keep you there. Real nice. No warning.

Revenge is sweet!

I decided to fight fire with fire! Hope this will help others. Instead of getting mad, I decided to get even. I emailed and called Orchard Bank everyday sometimes 2 -3 times a day. In my first communication I advised that they had just earned more than 60.00 in over the limits could ever buy them in advertising. I also let them know that I would call everyday until they refunded the extra 30.00 knowing that every call costs them approximately 12.00. Mind you, I did not curse, I was very polite and kind, but firm. The only disappointment I have us after the 2nd day and only my 5th call, they caved and refunded my money. With God by my side and a plan, this time I came out the winner. My new goal.. pay off this card and close this account and all Household/ Beneficial accounts forever. I do not know how to respond to Margo - Columbus, Georgia
but, yes that is their practice you were right. Thank you.
I hope if you are ripped off by this company you too will do what I have done. Do not get mad, just persistence and consistent.

I know that certain cards charge you an overlimit fee at the moment you go over. Even though you haven't seen it yet, if the account remains in an overlimit status into the next billing cycle, they have the right to charge you another overlimit fee.

Say you go over limit on the 11th of the month. The 12th an overlimit fee is charged. Your next statement falls on the 15th, the new bill cycle begins on the 16th. If your account is still over limit on the 16th when the new bill cycle falls, you can be charged an overlimit fee. But only once per billing cycle.

Not saying it is moral but it is legal.

Keep your eye on your limit. If you go over make sure to pay it down with any overlimit fee as well as leaving room for interest before that next bill generates.

Personally I hate this issuer but I know that they are not the only ones who treat overlimits this way.

This company is the devil for sure! They charge you over the limit fees when they are the ones putting you over the limit and then are RUDE and have no customer service at all. Please do not do business with these companies!

They charged me 30.00 for going over the lime and then within 2 weeks time and before the 2 weeks were over. They charged me a second time and raised my payment. They allowed fraudulent charges on my account and then charged me an over the limit charge. They are our to bury you so please DO NOT do business with this company.
