Oxmoor Toyotas bait and switch advertising

On 3/2/00 I read in our local paper that Oxmoor Toyota had a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT for sale for $16,827 so I called to see about this vehicle. I was told by the person on the phone this truck had around 30-35 thousand miles was in perfect condition and was pro certified and also on their lot. One hour later I arive to find no such vehicle at this price. They had older vehicles with higher mileage and higher prices. The sales lady tried to show me a # of other "compareable" vehicles but I asked her about the one advertised in the paper. She in turn got her manager to come out and tell me that vehicle was sold. I asked when it sold and he couldnt tell me. I asked to see a copy of the sales slip and he replied "he did not have to show me anything of the sort". I told him that they were false advertising and I would report him. He seemed to think I would let this go,wich I was until today when the same advertisement ran in todays paper 3/3/00. Also contacted BBB and a local trouble shooter.
