Hi Everyone- Please do not become involved with Pacific Bell DSL! My email is down and out two or three times a week. The rude billing people say they are "not responsible" for email problems. Their own technical service has said the opposite; that they are "having problems" with the email server.
Also during peak times, Pacific Bell DSL is slower than a 56K modem; much slower! I think it is time for a class action suit, like the ones against AOL, we are paying for services, that we are not getting! They also want $200 to cancel a service that does not work! I have been patient, but after 6 months of not working and paying 49.95 a month; I am being RIPPED-OFF!! Please respond if you know of a class action suit I can join.

#4 Consumer Suggestion
I've had FEW problems with Pac Bell

I've had Pac Bell DSL for 2 years now. I've never experienced problems with connection speed. I regularly get speeds of 512K/sec and higher (yes, during "peak" time.) Occasionally, when I first connect, it appears that I have no throughput. When this happens, I click "Disconnect", then click "Connect", and the problem is solved.
As far as email is concerned, I've never used theirs. Even though I gave nobody that address, I started getting SPAM immediately. Get Hotmail or Yahoo mail.
