Pain Resources Pain Management Scottsdale Arizona

I have the unfortunate life, of pain, and it all started when I was approximately 19 years of age.   I was riding second seat in a truck, and we heard the sound of skidding.  I leaned forward to look into the right mirror.  We collided with a large, 4 door vehicle; ie: Ford LTD or something of the like.  I still remember the mans name, and that night, as clear as yesterday.  Fast forward 30 years, and I was doing ok, my PC has been giving me Fouricit with Caffeine, Tylenol, and Codeine, for the past 30 years to help with my head aches.   Additionally, in the evening of July 2008, with rain coming down in buckets, a young person passed me on the I10 in reverse, and then turned their front wheels, slammed into the K rail, and bounced two lanes to strike me, circling me; reverse clock wise.  This impact left me crawling from bed to every room in the house.   I could hardly stand up.   

Fast forward to the AMA mandate for Pain Management in 2011.   My PC / Doctor could not prescribe me any longer, so I was referred to Pain Resources, with my research.   I discussed with Wendy, and we tried more BUT + COD, per my request, and Wendy was right, the BUT + COD won't take care of my lateral back.   I was provided with 15 mg Condin ER to go along with my Fouricit with Codeine, and this worked pretty good, but after 3 years, I asked if I could move up to a higher dose, because I was more active, and Wendy agreed, to give it a run, and see how it helps; and the pros & cons.   I was on this process for 3 years,  I was mandated to see Wendy, the number one in the facility, for one reason or another.  She wanted to take care of me, because other nurses, made errors in their findings, and refused medication, and so on.   Wendy is great,  and was my Nurse for 6 years, and had consideration for me, and added some fast acting 15 IR, q 2 daily.  In 6 months, the quantity was reduced 10 percent, from 56-42 per month, due to some AMA requirement.  I understood this, and Wendy agreed to reduce the 15 IR.   

The Pain Resources was sold in May 2017.  My new nurse wanted me to use pot creams for pain relief, and muscle relaxation.  I reviewed and advised her that I did not find that the creams would help with my internal pains.    During this second visit, my new provider / nurse asked me to start using my Flexeril q 2 daily, with my Condin 30 ER q 2 daily.  I advise her that I will not, because that is too much for me, and the door jam works, with the; as needed Flexeril, and this is all I need for muscle relaxing.  As we discussed how I manage my pain, she mentioned that I manage my pain well, with a low dosage of medications, and advised that she will no longer script the Head Ache pill; and took my Fouricit away, conveying to me that it should have never been provided to me, because it was strictly for migraines. I did not agree, and pleaded for her to retract her comment, and not to let this happen.  I advised that this will overturn the apple cart, that the BUT + COD also provided pain relief, has caffeine that makes the pain medication work better, and speeds up my system a little, without the usual caffeine side effects, and settles my stomach.     I was advised to see a neurologist in regards to my head aches.   I advised the nurse that she is ad-hearing to the AMA, and the old book, in regards to Fioricit with codeine, and that this is how I have been able to manage my pain so well, all of this time.   The nurse did not seem to care, except for asking me to stop speaking to her in regards to my refusal to accept her determination, and advised that I am still part of the Pain Resources for my Condin.  I advised her that I will continue to request the BUT + COD, and I will keep them posted on how I am doing.   

  How have I been doing?, Awful.  The Condin depresses my system, and the OTC Caffeine pills, excite my heart, and concentrate my discharge.   I have been going through painful withdrawals, massive head aches daily.    I work full time, and was offered to apply for Tier 3 Associate, and if accepted, it comes with a little raise.  Also I am study every day, for my certification.  This should have never happened, and it did at the worst time.   My stomach is now up set  This change in my meds has been very hard on me, and I must complain, because something that was working for me, that taken away, as if it was funny.  I have called 3 other Pain Management offices, and I am awaiting their call.  I hope for the best.  One of them, has on their web page, that Fuoricit with Codeine works for head aches and general pain, and can be given with Condin (Morphine) - Help - Sincerely; Bob
