On June 28, 2004 two young gentlemen knocked on my door and presented themselves as salesmen for the PMI company and were selling magazine subscriptions. The more talkative of the 2 said he was showing the other young man the process of selling so that he could get himself established in the business. The quiet one said very little at all the entire time.

Eventhough I was sick and not willing to give them the time of day, the talkative one played on my good nature until I agreed to buy just one magazine, basically so that they would just go away & my conscience would be clear. He kept at me each time I would hesitate and explain that I wasn't feeling good and just wanted to go back inside.

Plus he kept saying that I would get some sort of "BUG OFF" note so that no one else would come to my door and try to hassle me after they left.

All total, the two boys were on my porch for a little over an hour. The talkative one flirted with me relentlessly and even invited me to his comedy act - he said he was breaking into show business.

The talkative one swore up & down that this was a legitamate company and that I would not be sorry for my choice of magazines (Diabetic Cooking). He did inform me that it sometimes takes a while before the magazines start showing up but after that they would arrive in a timely fashion.

If I had not decided that it had been long enough to have at least received some sort of notification from the company, I wouldn't have looked up the company online and then seen your website. I cannot believe how upset and embarrassed I am. I should have trusted my gut feeling that day - no matter how sick I was!

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

All the kids are not crooks or mean and horrible kids

AUTHOR: Maghen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 10, 2004

If you look over your order form it will tell you that it takes 90-120 days to recieve your order. If you take the time to read the rest of the posts you will see that you acually got one of the honest ones. They were straight forward and told you exactly what they were doing (not the whoel school story) and especially if you paid by check you should have no problem getting your order. All the kids are not crooks or mean and horrible kids. When I worked there I always told the truth and knew when to back off. I never had any problems from people. My customers ALWAYS got what they ordered. Don't condem them all for others mistakes.
