Around March of this year my roommate and I had a young man come to our door to sell us magizens so that he could win a trip to Cancun. (Big suprise huh??) Both my roommate and I wrote him a check for $60 each, i few weeks later i got a notice from the bank stating that my account was overdrawn.
I contacted Palmetto and canceled my order. now here it is nearing the end of september and my bank is threatening to shut my account because in the last month Palmetto has resubmited my check 3 more times. once for $60.00 and twice for $30.00
Thanks to them my account is - $117 which i have to pay by the middle of next week.
and just for a bit of irony,
My roomates dad is a retired cop!!

No it's not the fact that my account didn't have the funds. I called them a couple days after i signed up and thold them to cancel, the woman i talked to said ok. that it was taken care of. (I recently found out that apparently they don't take cancelations over the phone. but the woman i talked to had said no problem) what i'm mad about is that now 5 months later they're still trying to process a check for an account i was told by them was canceled.

WAIT a minute!!! Are you saying that you wrote them a check for $60, the funds were not in your account, and now you are upset that they tried to re-submit the check to force you to honor it?
