Today at 4:23 PM on Nov 03,2007, I went online to Papajohn's Pizza website www.papajohns.com to look at their pizza deals. I found what I liked. This special pizza deal read Free Cheese sticks with an order of Specialty Pizza.
Hence, I filled in the order on-line but when I click "Submit" after filling all the necessary details about my "Free cheese sticks with large speciality pizza" oder based on the online coupon they have, the website crashed on me. Refreshing the website did not help. As a result, I saved the screenshot of the website and called the Papajohn's Restaurant located at 6405 W. Parker Rd. The person on the other end of the phone at Papajohn's above said store took my oder. I explained to him "since your website is not working, can you still give me the same deal?". He put me on hold for a few minutes and has accepted to give me the same online deal "Free cheese sticks with large speciality pizza" and said my oder will arrive in 35-40 minutes.

After 35 minutes, I received my order and see that I was charged a total of 19.26 US dollars (which reflected the online pizza deal). However, I noticed my cheese sticks are not delivered. Hence, I called the store immediately to talk with the store supervisor woking on November 03,2007 around 5:00PM.

The store supervisor said she will not honor the web coupon. That is when I requested she "should honor it because the person that took my order agreed to give me the same deal as your website." However, she outrightly asserted she will not give me the same deal. At that point, I requested "okay how about giving me the existing deal on one large Pizza with one topping for $9.99 ?". She asserted she cannot honor it because the Pizza was already delivered.

I tried to request the store supervisor to reconsider her decision because it was not "because of my mistake you folks failed to deliver the cheese sticks and now say that you do not honor your own website coupon deals. Hence you should atleast give me the other deal on one large one topping pizza for $9.99". At this point she hung up the phone.

If an average customer like me is mislead confusingly like this, I do not see my company of 800 people ever buying a Pizza from this store again.

I would like to see the store atleast give me the one large one topping pizza for $9.99 deal because they failed to honor their own promise of giving me the "Free cheese sticks with large speciality pizza" deal found on their website. They have purposefully mislead me into buying a pizza for an exhorbitant prise of 19.26 US dollars plus a tip of 4.00 US dollars for an appallingly poor customer service they provided me.

And order from the numerous Independent (aka "Mom and Pop") shops that are in your area. You will notice the attention to quality, price, and customer satisfaction. Thank you for tipping the driver. But in the future, avoid the Big 3 (PJ's, PH and DP) unless you want substandard food and substandard customer service (except for your dedicated, underpaid delivery driver!)
