Pat's Small Engine Plus They are a scam and send out defective parts. HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! Isanti Minnesota

Pat's Small Engine Repair sent me out a part that did not work. It was a coil for a lawn mower. The lawn mower was starting up fine, it just would get hot after 10 minutes or so and then it would die. Once it cooled down, it would start back up for 10 min or so and keep repeating.

When we received the part, we took the old one off and installed their part. The engine would not start at all with their part. Then we thought well maybe their part doesn't work and is defective. So, we installed our old part back on to see if it would start and it did. So basically Pat's sent me out a defective part.

I called them to get my money back as I don't want to have to deal with this anymore and I can't wait forever for my lawn mower to work. When I spoke with them they told me that it will have to be warranted and once they receive it then they will send it back to the manufacturer. They continued to tell me that once they get paid then they will refund me my money. One person told me it would be 4-6 weeks before I got my money back. Another person told me that it would be 2-3 weeks. The supervisor also told me that those parts have been defective in the past and it must have become defective during shipping. Does that even make sense? The part becomes defective during shipping? I also am amazed that they continue to send the part out to customers when they have had problems with them being defective.

I also asked to be refunded on the shipping charges that I am having to pay since it was a part that didn't work. They told me that they don't do that on warranty parts. I just feel that they have poor customer service and they send out parts that don't work and then the customer is the one that gets put out for it.
