Warning: Do not sign up with Patti Novak the matchmaker. She is a fraud. She has been promoted all over the media-A&E and even Oprah but her services in Kalamazoo are horrible. She has no skill as a matchmaker and her business is completely lacking in customer service. She also has an office in Buffalo, New York which is where the business initially started. She is a good salesperson and convinces you she can find better matches than you can find yourself.
I received a few matches all at once and then nothing. None of the matches were a good fit for me. It has now been over 7 months since I received any matches. I called to complain multiple times and requested to speak with Patti. She didn't return my phone calls. I signed up for what I thought was a year of service or 12 matches. It has been over a year and all I had were 4 dates. When I finally received a response from office staff, they said my membership has no expiration date. So maybe I will receive my next match 40 years from now?...
Patti Novak Introductions does not care about their clients, they do not take into account your selection criteria, and if you receive any matches, they will have been new members who fell prey to the scam. Save your money. This is a scam! I don't know how Patti Novak can feel good about herself and be on T.V. when she is ripping people off.

This is absolutely asinine.
Can we find something more productive to complain about than not finding a date?
If someone is unable to find a date without a dating service, then how can we expect that a dating service will do any good? I apologize for the rhetoric.
I am completely certain that money spent on a dating service could have been put to better use. Therapy is a viable possibility. Anyone that needs to rely on a dating service to get a date, then complains about not falling in love definitely needs someone to talk to. Your $4000.00 could have been spent for other useful things.
In this day in age, there are many useful resources that are completely free. Obviously, everyone participating in this report, whether it is the authors or readers, has an internet connection. Why would one pay for a service when it is offered free of charge elsewhere? There is absolutely no difference in the quality of service.
On a side note, where do we get the extra money to spend on a dating service in this type of economy? There are starving people out there that would much appreciate some volunteered time to help make their lives better. Once again, this costs nothing.

I've had the same experience as Lynne (report #460876). I signed up with Patti Novak Introductions in January 2008. When I signed up and met with a representative for Patti Novak, she indicated I would receive approximately a match a month. Much like Lynne's experience, my first two matches were immediate (January and March 2008). I'm thinking, wow this is great. Then I only just received another match (August 2009).
I've had only 3 matches to date - more than 1 1/2 years since I signed up (completely unreasonable). I don't trust verbal communication with her or her office. I started an e-mail and letter writing campaign requesting my money back which hasn't gotten me anywhwere, if I got a response at all. Her office actually set up a personal meeting with me and Patti, but it was cancelled at the last minute (needless to say I wasn't surprised).
I received the same garbage as Lynne about the contract has no expiration blah blah blah. I'm thinking the same thing Lynne is - I could be 90 by the time I receive my 12 matches. I thought I was the only one out there dissatisfied with the service I was receiving, but I've learned I'm not, there are quite a few others. Dissatisfied is putting it mildly actually. Talking with other dissatisfied clients, it also seems we were all charged different sums, offered different contracts, and received matches that aren't near our specifications, etc.
I'm sick that I have given her/this service my hard earned money and this is what I'm getting in return. If anyone else in this area is also unhappy with Patti Novak Introductions, there are a few of us that have made contact and have met to discuss a strategy. We all need to come together and do something about this, possibly a small claims action.
