They say they will act as a liason between you and the lenders of pay day advance loans to help you get your financial status back on track. They tell you to ignore calls from these lenders; to refer the lenders, when they call, to Payless Fia=nancial as Payless Fi nancial is expert at dealing with these craft lenders and can handle them much more expediently and successfully than you can.
They tell you they must have proof that your first payment, which is due immediately, will go through before they can get you into ther "expedited validation" stage. That payment is taken from your acct within 24 hours. Then, days go by, loans are still coming in and no word from them what is going on. The last thing you hear from them is when you get your "enrollment package" in fwhich they have you call them back via telephone so they can "walk you through it"
They tell you to put a "hard hold" or even compoletly close your account to avoid these lenders from being paid. I never said I didn't want to pay them, they loaned me the money in good faith, I just wanted to work out a payment arrangement that would not be such a heavy drain on my bank account.
Two weeks go by, I send emails for 3 days getting no resonse except "ticket has been submitted please click here to review it's status". INterestigly enough, when you "click" to view it's status there is nothing there. Within minutes you got back to it and the ticket is marked "closed" with no dispostition of the matter stated. FInally after I bombarded them with a steady stream of very assertive emails (total 67 back to back) I get an email saying "we're sorry you were dis satisfied and have cancelled your account and submitted a refnd to you" then within hours of that I get an email that says "Per the contract you signed there will be no refund" and "should yu=ou wish to continue paying for our service we will re open your acct"
They did nothing. I called the lenders. Not a single one had even heard of them let alone FROM them. I handled it on my own, making necessary arrangements for payment and they are all working with me
I found out I was able to handle it on my own after all but had to pay them to find that out
They are adamant about not returning the first payment as per their contract, but thy are in breach of that very contract by failing to do what they said they would do. They did nothing. No validation (whatever that is supposed to mean) nothing. at all.

I MEANT VICTORY DANCE

I apologize...I got carried away in my excitment. . but I am doing the victory dance. Howver, rest assured all the complaints I filed against these people are open and active. I am on a mission to bring them down. The fact that I got my $72 back is just one small battle won in the war against scammers like them. While my methods were, to some, a bit over the top they were effective and the results were rapid. Most of my anger in this was based on the sheer blatant way they tried to do it..as if they are used to people giving up. IF YOU ARE RIGHT FIGHT FOR IT DMAN IT! not fighting back is putting money in their pockets, gas in their cars, clothes on their backs and their kids thru college!!! My next step is to circulate a petition to get these slimieballs off the internet. Sure, there's hundreds more where they came from, but just like every $72 counts to them, so will every one of them count for "our side"...when they asked "who ARE you? I told them as I am telling you...I AM THE CONSUMER FROM HELL!

I am Ann, from Los Angeles. aka the consumer from Hell. After sending at least 600 emails non stop demanding my money be returend, initiating complaints with the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, The State of Calif & Florida Attorney General, the Department of COnsumer affairs and here, on Ripoff Report, payless financial group said they'd refund my money and wanted me to cal lthem to set up the refund process. I sent them a copy of the report I filed here and told them there is no need to call you.
You just put the money back from where you took it / This morning the $72 posted to my bank account. NO this does not let them off the hook as scam artists by a long shot. It is one small victory, but a victory nonetheless. I hope others will perhaps read this and that it will enoucrage them to "fight back" with all you got. It is worth it. I am a senior citizen. I consider that victory one for ":our side". As I told the scammers at payless: "Never underestimate opponent" Even in this digital age the PEN is still MIghtier than the Sword!

This is a scam

Unfortunately you found out the hard way. No third party can change a contract between you and your lender - even if the lender is a payday loan type lender. Even if you have an attorney, a legitimate attorney, you would still have to sign off on any changes made to a contract unless you gave specific written power of attorney. That is why they said not to contact the lender directly. This scammer didn't want you to find out right away before getting any $$ from you.
There are all kinds of scam 'companies' out there claiming to be able to renegotiate your finance contracts (car/loans/cc's/mortgages) and they do not have the power or the authority. Frankly, they are just looking for your money. If you signed anything with these scammers, file a police report. I don't know if you will be able to sue the company in small claims court or not, but it is worth a try. I suspect it is not a company at all, just a couple of individual scammers that have fake names and numbers and then dissappear.
Go to the FTC(dot)gov and look up scams so you know what red flags to look for the next time someone holds out a promise that is too good to be true.
