Just want every one know that Payment Systems is simply bunch of liars and thiefs.
They lied of terms of the contract and fees. We agreed on one thing and they put in the contract very different(very small print off course). And when we decided to finish with them and called them about early termination fees they said to us and a new processing card representative that will be no charges for switching and then after we switched Payment Systems charged us with out telling us $1500. And after we tried to work it out they simply said screw you, case closed and hang up on us. And then we found out about other charges for $1200 that we also can 't get back now. So, we have no other choices but hire lawyer and spent money and time to get our hard earned money from that horrible company.
Hope they will go under and sued their brain out by those who they cheated.

Resolution Options

AUTHOR: pitbull for justice - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 06, 2012

I dealt with Payment Systems in Carlsbad as well, and experienced the same story I see over and over.  They blatantly lied, altered my contract after signing, double charged, etc.  There is an attorney who is looking into a class action law suit, and I am happy to pass on contacts to him for anyone interested in being part of it.  Please email me at isolde1214@yahoo.com if you would like to look into being part of the class action suit.

You can also file a claim with small claims court in San Diego County for up to $5000 (you will need to justify your amount).  You also need to know their correct legal name if you want to file, I have that information as well (it is not Payment Systems Corp, that is their DBA). Please do not get discouraged and feel you have no recourse!  You absolutely do.  I recommend the class action option first and if that isn't a fit, small claims.  Good luck!

Additional information on Payment Systems

AUTHOR: MP - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, July 11, 2011

I work for a merchant services company. I have three clients currently who have signed up for my services who are dealing with Payment Systems and the lies they have been told. I have not advised my clients on their course of action regarding this company, who does lie in their presentation to merchants. In reference to the earlier posting, they offered you not 1%, but Cost Plus 1%. This is the raw cost of the provider, Visa/MC/DS plus a 1% markup. This is the highest pricing that I have seen since I have been in this industry.

These costs are exorbitant. Two of my three clients have opted to consult an attorney regarding this company. Global Leasing and Payment Systems have an affiliate relationship. Global will also lease without the affiliation to Payment Systems. FYI- from my experience, all non-cancellable leases are airtight. I know that ours are. When dealing with this situation, if you try to call Global to find out about your lease, they refer you back to Payment Systems.

I was on hold on behalf of one of my clients for thirty minutes, as soon as I began speaking my inquiries they hung up on me. My clients had expressed to me that they had called the rep over and over and never had a return call. We had his number, so I called under the premise that I was referred to him by a friend of mine. My clients were surprised that within the hour he called me back, but never them. With him on speaker in front of my clients, he confirmed that Payment Systems required you to rent their machine in order to get the processing. I just knew that when I sat down to initially talk to them, to hear that they were leasing a Verifone for $200 a month, my heart just broke for them. Ultimately, he did tell me that the processing was affiliated with the machines and to break a contract could cost $5,000 or more. He was also very clear about the fact that he was no longer with the company. They had only signed their contract 5 months ago.

Ultimately, two of the three of my clients are changing their bank accounts. Which is a big step for a business and not based on my recommendation, but that of their attorney. I have read so many reports on this company and know and expressed to them that there could be legal ramifications of doing so, but both felt that the lies they were told and the costs they were paying justified the change. My other client chose to stay with them even though he would be paying $150 more a month, because he was not willing to damage his credit. However, he did give me the processing contract on his wife's business.

I have put my clients in connection with each other should they end up going to court. Both have said that Payment Systems overcharge, they had unauthorized drafts from their account, and both were required to lease the machines to accquire the processing.

As a merchant services sales person, I run into so many undelivered promises from companies. But I have never seen any other company with such deceptive and malicious practices as Payment Systems. I would plead to anyone who even thought about this company to seriously consider the negative impact that this company will have to your business. There are a lot of companies who do not want to harm merchants, but to truly help them and earn their business. Payment Systems is NOT one of those companies.

Ex sales rep in different area

AUTHOR: Bob - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 25, 2011

I'm an ex sales rep that didn't work in your area.  I have no idea about your sales rep, but I try to accurately sell products that will help businesses.  That being said the reason said, I truly believed that we were selling a superior product.  I've now seen numerous statements showing 4-6% effective rates after the lease is taken into effect.  I was trained and assured by numerous higher ups within the company that the 1% rate would be for the vast majority of transactions.  This is not true.  I am currently working with the people I sold to.  I am sorry for your experience, but if you would update this to let me know if you are able to find some resolution I will be able to help the people I unintentionally hurt.  They have offices in Carlsbad, LA, Dallas, and Orlando with about 300 new customers a month.  I don't understand how they have only 55 BBB complaints and 6 ripoff reports.

Payment Systems Contract

AUTHOR: Jon Harris - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 24, 2011

I had a very bad experience with Payment Systems as well. My name is Jon Harris and I represent TC Printing up in Sacramento. Luckily I have good friend who specializes in contract law out of NYC. He looked  at the contract and said they would have to file suit in NYC according to there contract which was great for me. Best thing you can do is change you bank account and let them try and proceed. They wont get anywhere with you they hire a debt collector law firm to use scare tactics but don't fall for it. These guys are out to take advantage of small business owners. We all need to file a class action suit against them.

I am also a victim of the company.

It's been nightmare for me every day.

Please share with me more story how it has been since you sued them. (858-568-5865) I need your help. And if we fight them together, it will be much more helpful.

More victims should get along together to report them to police or sue them.

get their agent

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 08, 2010

If you have the info on the sales rep that came to your business,   take him to small claims court.

we get these kind of  scum at my business often,  we have form for them to fill out before I will talk to them

they usually fill it out to the  part that asks for their home address and other personal info.

I explain to them if I feel they cheated me ( or am just unhappy with the product or service they provide)  I will know where to come after them

usually they are out the door and running for their car  by then.
