Purchased a 2006 Nissan, Sentra from PCH Auto Sales.  This dealership is located near my residence, and I thought it would be good to support a neighborhood business.

After completing extensive financing paperwork, an employee drove the car to the door of the sales office, and turned it off.  As I approached the car, the salesperson started the car up for me.  The vehicle did not start on the first, nor second turn.

Visibly appalled and upset, I was assured, in writing, that the vehicle would be inspected the following day, and any necessary repairs made.

Within the next 48 hours, I discovered additional major problems with the car, made a list, and returned to the dealer. They again assured me that repairs would be made as follows:

  • Brakes replaced
  • Check engine, as car did not start up properly and the engine light came on
  • Repair air conditioner.  No air was coming through the vents
  • Fix CD changer.  CD's could not be ejected
  • Replace missing mirror panel
  • Car vibrates when standing still in drive

On March 16th, the car was taken for repairs. The brakes were repaired effectively.  The remaining repairs I returned the car for, as they were not done right.

Repair visit #2. The air conditioner was repaired properly, the missing panel replaced.

The vehicle still does not start properly. The check engine light still comes on.  The vehicle still vibrates at a stop.  The CD changer remains inoperable.

When I brought this to the attention of 'Mike' , the salesperson on duty, I was rudely informed that "it worked when they started it up" and "they are not in the car audio business".

Need assistance in getting this made right.  Hopefully, my experience helps the next person searching for a used car.
