PEAK COMMUNICATIONS Peak Communications, Jacksonville FL Bogus invoice for a phone call Jacksonville Florida

I received, from Peak Communications in Jacksonville FL, an invoice on 9/10/2015 for a phone call made to my own home number on 6/15/2015 in the amount of $6.65.

I have no idea what this call is for. I don't have local phone service and consequently the invoice is toally bogus.

Further, there is no "type code" on the invoice, and those codes are described at the bottom of the invoice.

Lastly, my many repeated calls to the 800 billing inquiries number never results in talking to an individual or a return phone call.  That number is 1-800-349-1923.

While $6.65 is not a lot of money, this is such a scam!

And where in the heck is the state of Florida in all this?  The BBB site for Jacksonville indicates many complaints for this company;  I suppose that speaks to the BBB effectiveness?

Bottom line, I'm not paying this invoice.  Let it go to collections and I'll see them in court!
