I first took out my loan in December of 2004 at the time i didn't have the best credit but since then i have cleaned up my credit now i have almost perfect credit. when i first got my loan i was with connexus credit union then it went to centrix financial and then to flatiron and then to peak 5 now it has been changed to systems & services technologies. Inc. however Peak 5 failed to give me enough notice about the change and i sent my payment which was due on the l7th of the month to them and now it is the 28th day of the month and they have yet to process my payment for the month of July. I contacted sst this morning to see if they had received my payment which was made to Peak5 and she told me no that they would either send the payment on to them or they would mail my check back to me. I told her that i had gotten my credit straightened out and that i did not want this going against my credit because no payment notice was even sent to me for my July payment but i knew that it was due and so i mailed a check to peak5 for my July payment and i made a copy of my check for my records. I received my notice that the company had switched again and that i was not to contact Peak 5 after July l0, however i didn't receive my notice until the l7th and payment was already due for the month. this confusing just about makes me want to just stop my payments altogether because they can't even keep there companies in business long enough to get a loan paid off they are filing bankruptcies and if they can't keep there companies going why should anybody care if they pay them.. i wouldn't mess my credit for it and i am an honest person and if owe someone money then it is my obligation to pay them. I was just looking at my payoff today and i am thinking about going to my local bank and refinancing my loan i could redo my loan and make the same payment that i am making now and still pay me car off in 6 months less than i could with this company and still save me some money. i just think that it is a shame that the finance company has changed hands this many times since i first took out my loan. If they can't pay their loans why should the people who owe them money have to suffer for the stupidity? it just seems unfair to the customers but i know that if i don't pay the loan it will go against my credit and i don't want that on my credit report. so i am just doing the right thing.
