I have been trying to get a payment issued resolved for 2 months. I refinanced my vehicle in September of 2007 & received a call in October that due to a payment being returned I still had a balance.
It all started in June,2007, when I did a payment thru my bank pay service and the payment wasn't received by my due date. I advised the rep when she called when the payment was made but was advised they couldn't wait for the payment & would have to make a phone payment. After having a very rude supervisor take over the call I did the phone payment. When I went online and saw that both payments had cleared my bank I contacted my bank to stop payment on one of the payments.
When a rep called me in October she stated that they didn't receive the stop payment notice until October after my account had already been paid in full. I asked why my statements never showed that my account still had 2 payments posted for June and my statements never indicated my account as paid ahead by one month. None of the reps I spoke with could give me an answer.
I had several arguments with numerous reps about the situation and asked for a copy of the stop pay notice that was received and a copy of my pay history. I faxed a copy of my bank statement showing the money for the stop pay in June for one payment had been credited back to my bank account. I finally received a copy of the same document that I had completed at my bank requesting the one payment to be stopped in late November.
December 7, I finally received a copy of my pay history which did not have 2 payments listed in June and did not list any stop payment for the one payment. When I asked a very nasty, rude rep why the pay history was different she couldn't give me a reason.
On Dec 13 when I returned their call, after a very lengthy argument with the rep she threatened to repo my vehicle. I called the next day and did a phone payment for the $146 balance and asked the rep I spoke with for the customer service department and also the title department. I was told that it would take 30 business days to receive my title. I advised the rep that I would never do businss with this company again and would never recommend them to anyone.
The thing that is the most irritating about this company is that that my account was never past due from day one. All of my payments had been made by the due date and the only problem was the one payment tha was not received by the due date in June and the fact that I did a phone pay because they would not wait for that payment to be recieved. In all of my conversations with reps from October thru December they could only tell me I had a balance due because I had paid late. The reps aren't even smart enough to look at the history of the account before they speak.
