Peak5 compant stated my account was paid in full in 2005 and never filed or sent statements that confirmed or denied this and then reported to a collection service for a charge off Centinial Colorado

i had a car financed through centrex financial currently peak 5. in 2005 the car was totaled in a mvc, it was paid for by the inssurance and gap insurance companies. it was informed to me via phone call in 2005 that the account was paid in full and there was no remaining balance.

i never heard another word from them again. in 2006 they turned over a collection amount of 297.02 for non payment. the never filed this with me nor did i ever recieve any letters or phone calls in reference to this matter. i just happened to run a random credit check on my credit history to see how it was and there in a colloction section was a reposetion /charge off for this account.

i tried to contact them and the stated my account had been turned over to a collection company and i would have to handle this with them. i called the collection service and they stated they had closed my account and turned over to peak5.

now no one company has laid claim to this matter and neither will remove this from my credit history. after several attempts to get this matter handled a peak 5 manager call the collection center and behold there was my account that no one claimed

now peak5 refuses to talk to me and continues to hangup on me after telling me to contact the collection company. i did this and they will only talk to me if i provide payment. they will not discuss this and state i have to settle with money or contact peak5 to resolve this so they will report to them as account setted.

but the thing is no one can tell me why there is a balance after insurrance paid and their own representative told me that the account was paid in full in 2005 and no in 2009 i have been told there was a missdocumentation and it would be cleared but they will not close the account and clear it.

today on 3-16-09 i was hung up on by a supervisor twice and two other reps. needless to say i have never been so decieved and misstreated and disrespected in my life.

my advice to all if you have an acount take it some where else and if you thinking of getting an account with them you better think twice!!!!!
