I signed up with Pennsylvania Gas and Electric some time ago. I happened to check my Auto Pay amounts for my electric bill and found that they went from approximately $90 per month to $154 for January, $272 for Februrary, and $165 for March. The generation and transmission rates for kilo watt hour went from about .1084 (bills for about $90 / month) to .1132 ($154) .2718 ($272) .1807 ($165). This massive bill increase was not due to my increased use of electricity! In the case of the bill for $272, the increase in rate was about 150%. All the while, other companie's rates did not increase like that. They post an introductory price on http://www.papowerswitch.com/ that is competitive, but the price is only an introductory price. Their charged price is variable, and they are taking advantage of their customers!

I was called over and over to sign with this company. I was told it would not effect my bill at all it would save me money. Okay, I recieved my bill for one month and it was 5.00 shy of 600.00 for one month. Do not ever sign with these companies to save money. I called my original electric company and asked them what was going on. I was current on all my charges except for this fee from this company. Do Not Ever Sign up with this company you will be very sorry. My bill without this was 207.00 penelec amount of current charges. They increased my bill and said they would refund me 59.00 but I still have to pay the money owed to them which will cause my electric to be shut off within a month if its not paid. I can not ever pay this amount. Please dont ever agree to sign with these companies if you do you will be stuck with a huge bill that you shouldnt even have.
