I am among "thousands" of insured homeowners that suddenly are receiving "non-renewal notice" in the mail, for no reason, just before the hurricane season starts.
I just purchased my policy last year, it has been over 90 days, and still they are cancelling my policy.
I got the same reason for non-renewal:
1. Catastrophe expusure management. The company has determined that financial management and reinsurance cost considerations required a reduction in its residential insurance exposures.
This letter is signed by an "authorized representative" with no legible name.
I have three months to find another company that would insure me right before the hurricane season starts, probably at a higher rate.
DO NOT BUY PEOPLE'S TRUST INSURANCE. Bait and Switch!!! A RIPOFF!!!!
