I spend several years saving my marlboro miles and colecting them from friends. Now I send them in so's I can get presents for my family and some for me. Marlboro doesn't want to send my gifts to me. I wrote them and am putting it here so everyone can see what crooks they are.

I wrote Mr. Philip Morris:

Dear Mr. Morris,

I do hope you can help me. Or tell me someone who can. In May I used my miles and send for a shirt, an air compresser and the double headed flashlight. I sent my miles and a 7-11 money order for $10.00. I still don't have my compresser my shirt or flashlight. 7-11 said the money order was cashed by somebody. I sent a copy of my driving lisense like you said.

The shirt was for me the flashlight was for my wife on her birthday and I need the compressor to inflate my fishing boat I won at the church raffle. Somebody needs to tell me where my prizes are.

They wrote back:

Dear Valued Customer,

My name is Michael Page and I am in Marlboro merchandizing public relations department. I apologize for the delay in your order. In the past most orders were handled within 4-6 weeks but due to managerial changes the time span for most orders is delayed 8 to 10 months.

After some analysis we found that savings close to $200,000 a month on promotions if we delayed orders a few months. This calculation was based on the life span of an average smoker. We found that if we delayed our orders 6 months, 5% of the participants in the Marlboro Miles giveaway, would pass away and could no longer claim their prize.

If you are currently in good health. I can rush your order through. Please let me know.

We apologize for the delay. We value you as a customer. Enclosed you will find a $10 coupon good on your next purchase of Marlboro products.

Thank you for your time, and for being such a valued customer. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions. And for your reference your order confirmation number is 546703-G2Y

Sincerely,

Michael Page
Marlboro Merchandizing Relations Department

I worked hard to save these here miles and I want my prizes. After the letter I aint heard anything else and when I call they say its on its way.

I'm wondering if I should sue them for false ads.

Stewart, I think you take the prize from Charles for "Most Unintelligent Person Of the Year". Please send me 100 Marlboro miles to collect your prize.

Honestly, thank you for the laugh. This is the funniest fake complaint I have seen in a long time.
