Phoneagentsource.com phone agent, Phone and people locator -- BIG SCAM!!! WATCH OUT!!! Internet

First, they did not provide additional information that wasn't already there from any free service, contrary to their representations that they had additional information.  

Second, and far worse, they bait you saying it is $1 for this one report.  But then unknown to you, they automatically sign you up for $18.95 A MONTH for some unknown "identity protection" service.  When you call, they even have an option to push #4 for, if you are complaining about the $18.95 a month charge that you just got hit with.  

When I complained through the customer service department, they said they will cancelled my account (but will not reverse the bogus charges).  Other reports I've seen show that they'll still try to bill you even though you've cancelled and they've given a cancelation number.  When you get the person's name and ID, it too appears bogus.  I got  what sounded like a woman who identified herself as "Donald" (as in Donald Duck?) with an ID number the same as my area code of the transaction.  And when I asked for company information, physical address, supervisor, etc., they would not give any more than an email saying this was only a "web" company.  In other words, good luck tracking down responsible parties.  They would not provide (and claimed no one in customer service even knows) who is the agent for service of process for a lawsuit, physical address, or any other information that would help me sue.  

An email came from the company (auto response) to my call, with a web page with the $18.95 per month disclosure on it.  But it is a page I never saw before when I agreed to the $1 for the single search.  Surprise, surprise, there was no email confirming the cancellation of my account.  

I called my bank back, put a stop payment on the company for 6 months, gave them the cancellation confirmation number and the name and ID of the customer service rep, and changed my credit card info (including number -- which will now mess up other legitimate bill paying.)  But other reports I've read now (after the fact, I'm sorry to say) indicate that they have ways around those security measures to still keep charging me.   We'll see.  But what a mess!
