Like so many others on here I found an unauthorized charge in the amount of $11.89 on my HSBC Mastercard, dated 11/3/08. It first showed as pending but my credit card company claimed to be unable to interfere. Then the charge was posted and I filed a billing dispute right away.
Hopefully this will be resolved quickly but I am worried about the security of my card.

Two weeks ago I caught a $0.01 charge in the pending transactions by some construction company in Oregon that I had never dealt with. It appears that was a pilot to test the validity of my number.

Guess I will need to get a new number issued. What a drag!
