Plains Commerce Bank Total Visa ripoff is common in the credit card world! Hoven South Dakota

Well I am a bit undecided how I feel about this company on the one hand yes they did send me a card but before i even activated it i got the bill for $200.00 worth of this company's fees. Credit Limit $250.00

It does seem like I am always paying it and it never is good when i want to use it. I have applied for personal loans and when they look at my credit report they say plains commerce bank is on there but they dont know who that is and i got denied. I have recently recieved a Capital One card with no money already taken off it and a decent apr, is that because of plains commerce bank aka my Total Visa? I dont know but i'd like to think so

Plains Commerce Bank Total Visa card program works for me. I've had the card for almost a year now and they've exceeded my expectations. Before applying I read through all of the fine print. It said:

I needed to mail $250 and in turn they'd send me their Visa card with 0 credit available. The $250 is refundable in $50 increments every 3 months - provided payments are received on time. If I screw up (And I did once - payment posted 10 days after due date. Was a misunderstanding but was also my fault.) I don't lose any money, the refund is just delayed until 3 consecutive payments are made on time.

Paying down the balance would create available credit on the account.

$25 minimum monthly payment

$10 monthly fee for the account

19.9something interest rate

They've delivered as they said they would, right on time and without me reminding them which feels good! Also, the customer service is excellent. Easy to reach by phone, courteous, knowledgeable. One time I called and was sort of disputing something, was confused, needed help understanding and the representative was not condescending at all. It was a really great experience and they even did something that was beyond the call of duty. But that's another story.......

Anyway, do the terms suck? Yeah, but guess what? So does my credit (although this is helping to improve my score). I look at credit this way: higher risk equals higher fees. It's the cost of doing business. Paying on time each month will improve my credit rating which will improve the credit offers I qualify for.

I have had total visa credit card sense 02/15/05 of this year, i have had no problems with them my credit is always updated after i make the payment, i gotten an e-mail one day about total visa to sign up for their card i did not know total visa even existed till i got their e-mail about their card i thought i would not get approved but i did, i signed up online & got approved for the card i have had credit problems in the past with a credit card & thought i would never get a credit card again till i found total visa i had been searching around for a credit card re-build my credit but everything as changed sense i found total visa i am on my way to building up my credit back up again.I, never go over the limit i pay my payments on time it will take some time before total visa will let me have a $1000 credit limit which they promised after i keep my end of the agreement buy paying my payments ontime & not going over the limit, i can't buy much with the card know but its a start to improve your credit, people should get the word out about total visa if people wants to rebuild their credit & total visa will help you buy making your payments ontime & not going over the limit.Total visa will give you a $250 limit to start, but if you make your payments ontime & not go over your your limit will get bigger if you'er in good standing for 6 month's or longer it will help you get other credit cards.Total visa will do right bye you if you make your payments ontime & not go over the limit & your credit will get better also.

I just wanted to write and say that I have been a Total Visa card holder for nearly a year now and feel that the service Plains Commerce Bank provides is fantastic. I have contacted Total Visa customer service on several occasions and feel that the service they provide is superior. I have received credit line increases as promised and have only been assessed fees when I have made a mistake or was late with my payment.
I know this card has improved my credit rating and would suggest this card to any responsible person attempting to rebuild their credit. Make sure you are aware of the fees before applying.
