Platinum pools gave us an experience to remember. First, our smooth talking salesman seemed to listen to us, but little did we know that nothing we stressed and wanted was on the contract. A contract we did not fully agree with, but was assured was not the final copy by our salesman. We trusted our salesman and believed in him to help us build a pool.
You need to realize that these pool company's subcontract other companys to do the decking, plaster,flagstone, sprinkler system,etc. So, you need to really be there to supervise each one of these subcontractors. Our salesman did not tell us this, we learned the hard way. From the tile guy putting in the wrong tile, the blueprint for the pool was totally different from the picture we showed the salesman, the plaster that was ordered instead of gunite, the chlorine system instead of salt system, etc.
As you can see, all these mistakes could have been avoided if someone contacted us before they came out to do the work and went over what they were to do. All we got was resentment when we pointed out that this was not what we ordered. The only contract we had was the one the salesman told us was not the final copy. Our salesman had only talked to us once since our first meeting and that was to tell us "why we were being soo difficult, and we needed to pay more for these changes". "changes" which were major issues in which we told our salesman we wanted in the first place. Our problem was that we trusted that the salesman had been listening.
We had been let down by platinum pools from the salesman in Frisco to the supervisors in Southlake to the owner. In the end of all this ordeal, they sent us a survey to fill out. We explained all that happened, and we have never heard from them. Not one apology, not even a reason for the customer service that had been lacking. All they know is what is on the contract and collecting your money.
If you are looking for a company that cares about the customers, do not even bother. Read everything on the contract and do not believe in your salesman. Beware of Platinum pools.
