I don't know if this would be considered a bait and switch, but Plow and Hearth (http://www.plowhearth.com) promised a $100 Reward Card if I purchased $100 in merchandise, which I did on November 11, 2014.  After a few days, I called Customer Service and was told that the Reward Cards are sent via USPS mail and should arrive soon.  I never received the card and contacted Plow and Hearth via email, and I was then told the Reward Cards are sent within 10 days of the purchase via email.  I advised that I never received the Reward Card either via email or regular mail, and now every time I contact their Customer Service via email regarding the problem, I'm told to allow more time.  It's now been nearly two months since I placed my order with no promised Reward Card and no real response from their Customer Service.  I will never purchase from Plow and Hearth again after this experience.

Poor Customer Service

AUTHOR: Annie - ()

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2015

It took at least 5 emails to Customer Service and posting to online review sites like Ripoff Report to finally get a resolution.  I believe that I would still be in the Customer Service "runaround" had I not posted my complaint online.  If their Reward Card was sent to the spam folder in my email, they could easily have checked to make sure that it was not used and reissue one when I contacted Customer Service almost a month ago to ask about it.

I am refusing their Reward Card and will never again do business with Plow and Hearth or affiliates.  It is ridiculous that a customer should have to repeatedly contact a company to get something they were promised.

Your reward card email has been re-sent

AUTHOR: Richard @ Plow & Hearth - ()

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2015

Good morning Annie,

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive your reward card.  As indicated in our promotion your reward card was sent to you via email on November 17.  If you did not receive the message in your in-box it may be in your spam folder.  Regardless, we want to make sure that you're happy.

A new reward card has been sent to you today so please check your in-box and your spam folder as well.  I will call you this morning to follow up to make sure that you've received it.

The information has been entered in the notes for your order so this time, if you call, our agents will be ready to help.  You can reach us from 7am-11pm EST by dialing 866-265-6885.

Thank you for all your patience.

Sincerely,

Richard
