I bought a 32 inch LCD Polaroid FLM 3232 TV from Circuit City on April 3 2006. On June 5 2006 the picture went out completely. The audio still works. Circuit City said that because I did not buy thier warrenty and it has been more the 30 days from the date purchased I had to go through Polaroid for warrenty service. I understand that. I called Polaroid the same day and they said it would be 3 to 5 days before I repair company would call me to schedule a myI first request did not go through and it would be another 3 to 5 days. After another week and no call I called Polaroid again and asked for service. They put me off again for another 3 to 5 days. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they told me thier was nothing else they could do. I asked to speak with thier supervisor and they said she would be in tomorrow and would call me back. I never received a call back. When I called them back the following day they told me the supervisor would again call me back within 48 hours. Again, I received no call. Later I was told the supervisor who suppose to contact me has been on vacation. On another call I was told the supervisor who suppose to contact me was training another supervisor to do thier job and was not going to be a supervisor anymore. I've never received a call from them and have now made about 18 calls to Polaroid and still have a broken TV. I've put a complaint into the BBB. On a side note I've told Circuit City everything that has happened and they are unable to do anything for me as well. So as of now I'm stuck with $900.00 LCD TV that does not work and has no plan to be fixed. I will never buy another Polaroid product or shop a Circuit City again for any needs. Thank you Polaroid and Circuit City for showing me what its like to be royaly screwed.

Sue them

AUTHOR: Jeremy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 26, 2007

Sue them in small claims court. Force them to come to your county or hire a lawyer. When they try to settle, ask for court costs, your money back (or a MUCH upgraded TV), all the options, and the longest extended warranty they offer. If they refuse, then sue it out. You will win for breach of contract.

I had major problems with their customer service also. Check out my report. I had set up appointments, and they told me there was no record of me calling. Now my tv is broken again, and I'm done with them.

Polaroid LCD rip off

AUTHOR: S - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 12, 2006

I too have experienced horriffic customer service from polaroid concerning their LCD TV. The V-chip activated itself and I have been left with a TV that you can only watch the Disney channel on. I have been told for 2 weeks that I would be contacted with an authorized service center so the TV can be repaired. I have called daily for 2 weeks and noone has ever contacted me. In addition I have been informed that once a repair company contacts me it can be up to 2 weeks before an appt will be made and no told amount of time until the repair will be completed.

Literally they can hold the TV until the warranty runs out. I have also contacted Curuit City as I purchased the extended warranty and I have been told by them that their warranty only takes effect after the manufacturers expires. However If I want to bring it in they will repair it, charge me and if Polaroid authorizes it I will be reimbursed by Polaroid. I will never deal with Curcuit City or Polaroid again

Here's a phone number......

AUTHOR: Raymond - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 20, 2006

for Polaroid that you might want to try: 1-866-690-9752. When you call, enter option "2" and it will put you directly in touch with Polaroid's technical service dept. I have a FLM 3232 & have had virtually the same experience as you (check out my rip-off report filed against Circuit City.) I obtained this number after emailing Polaroid. The calls to their customer service number produced no results. Once I called the tech dept, they sent a repairman to my house in a couple of days. However, the repair parts have been on back order for a month & I still don't have my TV back. By the way, Circuit City also refused to help me as well. I will not shop there ever again, nor will I buy anymore Polaroid products. I hope this helps.
