Political Call Center Slave Labor in Mesa Arizona

In regard to this comment: "If you find  it necessary to remind the world how educated and intelligent you think you are, that's insecurity!You may have a formal education, but your words reveal you to be a complete moron."--This is a comment made by a tragically dangerous person who must be hostile about having no worthwhile accomplishments in life. People are supposed to be proud of their accomplishments in school and thereafter. Did you want me to lie to comfort such a hostile sociopath and say I was a high school drop out and a junkie instead of a high school and college graduate with honors with a medical degree and medical license and a clean criminal record? Would that make any sense in helping anybody better understand who I really am and what my background is?

Employers are supposed to be responsible people who offer good opportunities to earn a living and get ahead in life. When employees are mis-represented by employers as with the PCC their futures and lives are at risk. If they quit this makes it hard for them to get another job. And in a set up like the PCC has when they are eventually fired like just about everyone at the place is who stays, regardless of how capable they are, their career aspirations are ruined. Furthermore, people work hard for their credentials in school and thereafter and these credentials are very important for them as something they need to get ahead in life. The rebuttal to my critcisms of the PCC after all of these years is a manifestation of pure psychopathy by someone associated with this place. I saw conveyer belts of young men and women's lives literally destroyed by this place which promised them a place to earn some money and maybe make a career out of political fund raising or move ahead in other areas of interest. Frankly I felt the managers were so out of line handling people's vital interests in such careless manners I thought there was going to be violence and they were going to be attacked in the parking lot by someone with less stability whose life they callously destroyed. I think this kind of business should be illlegal. Furthermore, I think the Republican Party is lucky they ever won the White House back with such a sham operation raising money for them. This could all backfire and hurt every Republican Party politician in the country someday right up to the President of the USA. If the Republicans are smart they themselves will investigate the PCC and have everyone responsible for this sham operation indicted and prosecuted for various crimes which they are clearly guilty of. And of course this place should be permanently shut down!

Nobody twisted your arm to work for this company. You could have walked out the door anytime you wanted. You sound like an arrogant, self-absorbed, Narcissist, suffering from a terrible case of insecurity. If you find  it necessary to remind the world how educated and intelligent you think you are, that's insecurity! You may have a formal education, but your words reveal you to be a complete moron. The truth be known, whith all your education, you couldn't cut it interacting with people on the telephone. More than likely, that's why you were never offered a managers.  You probably quit because you knew you were going to be terminated. Try being honest with yourself and quit  blaming others for your failures and shortcomings. Your behavior is the act of a loser!

Something else I remember about how poorly the PCC is managed deals with having employees told they have to go home with only a few hours pay by about 10am or 11am in the morning if they failed to raise a certain amount of money by that time. That is a ridiculous policy. Many times during a work day people begin to produce better and better as the day progresses. Furthermore, people spend money on transportation, and by giving up their time for a job, and they do not appreciate costing themselves more than they are earning due to such poor company policies. And if this happens a couple of days in a row even if you generally raised a lot of money for this firm you are told you are on probation and will be fired soon thereafter. So consider someone could spend thousands of dollars relocating from California or even New York for this job thinking it is better than nothing in rough economic times only to find they may earn about $20 for a couple days in a row before being fired, even though they are well educated, motivated, and very talented people. And please keep in mind that generally very intelligent and motivated people do horribly in such menial and degrading jobs and sometimes they even drop dead from the stress of being abused in such manners!

I had some further thoughts about the poor mentality of the person who hit me over my criticisms of the PCC. To imply that farm workers are ignorant and stupid people is ashame. Farming is the backbone of America and without intelligent, committed and hard working farmers our nation would starve to death. I only wish I had the opportunity to work alongside America's farmers who deserve a high degree of respect. Obviously the person who attacked me over this is not a very nice, well informed or intelligent person!

Furthermore, the PCC staff demands that all call center employees read directly from a script. There are no deviations from the script accepted. Call center moderators listen in on the calls and consider firing people who try to show a little creativity in their approach to the potential donors. This is not a good idea when dealing with highly intelligent and motivated employees who need room for some creativity to be able to perform well. Obviously Margaret and her managers place no trust in their employees which inhibits their ability to produce well, feel good about themselves, feel good about the firm and move ahead in life. Even grade school teachers purposely give young children more responsibility and trust in their classrooms in order to help them develop well in mind and spirit. In fact I allow my 7 year old son and 10 year old daughter to play independently and work independently on their own computers on the Internet in order to help them develop self-confidence and to move ahead quickly in life. They have been playing and working independently on computers for years and they are doing great in school!

Aso, I would not run this entire business the way it is being run. The inefficient manner in which it is being run is wasting money. There should not be moderators listening in on every call with criticisms of every little thing. The scripts should be thrown out and the call center employees should be told to work hard, aggressively, and creatively to raise money. Than at the end of each month the amount of money raised across the entire office could be checked out and any particular problems could be confronted. And of course this would only work if the calls are not fixed in favor of good donors for some people and not others. In this way all of the moderators jobs could be done away with and the employees who work hard on the phones could be given regular salaries with the extra money!

There is no way employees feel a corporate connectedness and allegiance in such a setting where people are hired and fired around the clock. If the people were hired in the first place than they all have the capacity to do the job well if they are treated properly. And if they were treated properly with proper respect, proper pay, proper benefits and a feeling of security for the future than perhaps more employees at the PCC would identify with the firm as being an important part of their lives. I talked with dozens of employees and past employees at this firm who felt it was being managed like a junk operation and who felt the firm was ruining their futures.

Furthermore, I forgot to mention there are no benefits for working at this firm.

I think there should be investigations of the PCC and that it should be shut down. As for the Republicans, I do not necessarily disagree with all of their positions. For example I support their positions on placing a high degree of respect for traditional family values for married couples with kids.

But,I think this call center is ruining the image of the Republicans and not helping them. I think if they do not act aggressively and investigate this call center they will be sorry. Because someday when criminal investigations are opened up and there are arrests and convictions of some of the people in this call center the Republican Party will take a fall for this.

Margaret claims she does not actually work for the Republican Party and can act independently of Republican Party wishes. That does not make sense. Are the Republicans sure they like this arrangement? It was after all Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, who lead the US Civil War to try to wipe out slavery across the USA!

The type of rebuttal that came back from the PCC from a supposed appreciative employee is a lot of garbage from some type of red neck lunatic. First, to say that a Phi Beta Kappa, summa c*m laude graduate from Dickinson College in Carisle, Penna who also has obtained an MD and a New York state medical license is not intelligent enough for a menial job like this is shocking. Second, to say that someone who has the aggressive drive and character to earn these things in life is too shy and not aggressive enough to do such a job well is also a lot of nonesense.

I worked at the PCC to pick up some extra cash for my family because I thought such a politically oriented job might be interesting for awhile. I was doing the exact same high quality work in such a demeaning position after one year, as reflected by the evaluations I received from the staff, when Margaret Demello, the President of the firm, and Ron English and Wesley, the managers, started fixing the calls against me. During the entire first year I raised a lot of money for this firm and I earned less than poverty wages.

It has become clear the calls can be fixed in this place with calls to large donators being given to select people in the call center. And it has become clear that Margaret and Ron and Wesely are lieing when they say to be hired at the PCC and to keep a job and be given career advancement opportunities does not have anything to do with your own political orientations. This place is actually a front to catastrophically ruin liberals who actually do not support some of the ultra conservatism of the Republicans. The place hires just about everyone and than works with the local police to get reports on the true political orientations of the employees. Than if certain people do not come around and offer blind support for the right wing fanaticism of many of the Republicans they are pushed out of the job by being given bad numbers for calls where it is almost impossible to raise money. The amount of money to be raised to hold the job is also raised for these employees. Than Margaret and Ron and Wesely obviously file reports with the Justice Department that there is someting wrong with these people and that no other firms should hire them.

Furthermore, the working conditions can cause cardiac problems and I am told several young men and women have died from sudden cardiac arrest working in this place. I never heard of being told the best way to produce is back to back calls with no breaks between calls. That is absurd and is tyranny.

Also, why are dozens of people hired and fired daily at this place. I think there is a fishy scheme going on where there is some type of tax credit for hiring new people and so without a concern for ruining peoples reputations this place puts down perfectly decent, hard working, ambitious and intelligent young men and women as morones as they are pushed out of their jobs around the clock. Or maybe Margaret and Ron and Wesley are just sadists who enjoy ruining peoples lives in such manners.

I am very sorry I ever worked at this place when I decided to check into some new career paths at middle age. I hold to my position that the PCC is a slave labor camp. As a matter of fact working at this trash place ended up driving me and my family out of Arizona!

I started working for PCC recently, and I am very appreciative of the opportunity. I also wanted to make it clear that I thoroughly enjoy my job.

The thing that needs to be understood about this and every call center is that you are expected to perform at a certain level. If you don't have the ability to perform at this level, because you're nervous or shy, or as seems to be the case of the filer of this report, you have a language barrier keeping you from effectively communicating with the people you're calling, then you'll either be let go or you'll just plain flounder with ineffectiveness.

The whole point is, if you can't hack it, then get a job that you can do successfully. Not everyone is call center material, and the person who filed this report obviously falls into that category. I have been treated with nothing but respect at PCC and I plan to continue working there while I finish school.  Then again, I speak fluent English so maybe it's easier for me.  Perhaps the person who filed the report should find something that grooves better with their skills... I might suggest farm work or some other form of manual labor. Clearly the type of job that requires communication skills and/or some form of base intelligence isn't in their repertoire.

In conclusion, if you are looking for work in the Mesa area, and have at least the IQ of a turnip, then PCC might be for you. If, however, you're a self-pitying excuse maker, and you prefer to mask your inefficiencies behind a wall of self-serving excuses, then you may want to consider McDonalds... Or just call Dr. Kevorkian and fast forward to the slowly approaching end of your misery.

In my most recent entry the word "sandals" should be "scandals" as below":

I should have never withdrawn my initial criticism of the PCC. In retrospect the situation is like a slave labor camp. The President of the firm , Margaret, and the managers, Ron and Wesley, take the position that you can just quit so the work conditions are not their problem. However, with lousey jobs I have discovered the problem is the same as for University students who decide to protest a bad professor. It is not easy to leave this kind of situation behind you once you walk in the front door! It becomes part of your background! I was treated like garbage at the PCC and this is what happens when a bad economy and sandals push someone with my background to accept a menial, low paying and abusive job. Having worked at the PCC is still hurting my career profile and interests today after a year even though I took it off of my resume a long time ago. Something is fishy about how lousey this job is. The way it is set up could drive an experimental rat in a Skinner box insane. I think there is some sinister association with the powers to be in Arizona by getting rid of an overflow of unemployment problems due to poor state management by setting up scores of people who pass through the PCC to appear to be mentally ill. Aside from the poor working conditions most of the people at the PCC are either forced to quit to save their own health and when they see the firm beginning to fix the numbers against them or they are fired if they do not quit in time. All of this is bad for careers and when my kids are teenagers I would rather see them get a free ride at home if I have extra money than ruin their futures with a trash job like this. Frankly I think the people running the PCC are simply sadists!

Upon further consideration of this matter I have discovered it is a very difficult task to raise money for traditional conservative political issues in the United States and I think therefore the staff at the Political Call Center in Mesa, Arizona is doing a good job. It is therefore now my feeling that it was a worthwhile experience working for the Political Call Center and it was my pleasure to have worked with their people.

I have again reconsidered my criticisms of this group. In consideration of the fact that it very hard to raise money for political causes during these difficult financial times I now feel the group at the Political Call Center is doing a good job and it was my pleasure to have worked with them.

The fact that the slave labor operation of the Political Call Center has its offices in the Bank of America building in Mesa, Arizona has caused me to completely lose faith in Bank of America. I do not know of any responsible financial institution which would allow such a scam and abusive operation to be run on its premises.

I am not serving the public's best interest by withdrawing this complaint and so I apologize for having done so. Actually the PCC is a lousey place to work which ruins the lives and careers of a lot of hard working, well educated people before they ever have a chance to get started in life. The call leads are obviously fixed by the management and owners who sadistically play around with people's earning needs in a very dangerous manner. And very well educated and talented people are kept in menial positions without proper career advancement due to intentional poor evaluations of their work even when they are doing everything right. And the manner in which the work day is set up is actually very bad for your health and would make even a naturally very calm and relaxed person nervous. Workers should not have to worry about losing part of their pay check because they have to go to the bathroom now and than which means the pay scale at this place is actually lower than advertised. And there are no benefits at the PCC so when you leave or are pushed out of work there after producing well you are left with nothing. I frankly would rather have my young son and daughter relaxing at home and looking for good jobs and/or higher academic opportunities than ruining their lives with this kind of worthless job when they are older.

As the person who filed this complaint I would like to withdrawal this complaint. Upon further investigation of this matter it has come to my attention that call centers are all run about the same manner in which the PCC is run. Furthermore, in economic hard times it has become clearer that while many families are literally starving to death across the United States and running into life threatening credit debts which could ruin them permanently at least the PCC is generally available to offer people the opportunity to pick up some extra cash to pay their bills and to take the kids out on Saturday afternoons.
