I orderde a pool liner back in June. They billed my bank account and then the following week billed it again. I sent them an email telling them what had happened. The initial email was responded to by Charlie Goss stating they would refund my money within 48 Hours. That was almost 2 months ago and I have not heard from them since. I have made several attempts to call the number and have sat on hold for over 45 minutes. No one ever answers the phone for the number they give and emails are never responded to.

LIES, LIES, AND MORE LIES

AUTHOR: Laura - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 15, 2007

Well still no luck getting a refund from CHARLIE GOSS!!! I filed a report with the BBB and Mr. Goss responded saying that he has refunded the money to my account. HOWEVER, that was over a week ago and guess what???? NO MONEY!! Good thing I knew better than to trust that and my bank is still currently working on the issue. Also, YOUS is not a word so who is from the "deep south"

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Pool Deal and DPD pools in not a scam.

AUTHOR: Giuliane - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 24, 2007

I am an ex-employee of this company and there was absolutely no intentional scamming going on. What happened in this case more than likely is that the person using the website to order may have accidently pushed the order through two times. There are no intentional rip-offs going on at DPD pools but the fact that there is no customer service work being done does lead people to believe that they are being ripped off. I told the owner about 15 times that we needed to address the problems, or the worst problems that the people had by calling them back or picking up the phone if we could. To tell you the truth, most of yous didn't even leave a phone number! Many of yous are from the deep south and we couldn't even understand you. Anyway, charlie the owner kept trying to solve the problems by contacting the sending company. In other words, when you order from DPD pools you are really getting something shipped from S K Plastics or from Imperial Pool parts or Pegases, or another company ... Charlie kept trying to call and scream at the sending/shipping company to solve the problem.

I think the real problem here is that he is quite young and is not experienced in life much less customer service. Myself, on the other hand am a lot older (20years) and I have a lot more life experience. To tell you the truth, if he would have listened to me there would not be any of these problems like this. I would have gladly spent the evening communicating with the customers but he thought it was best to not argue with them but I know he was wrong, and I still know he was wrong. As it turns out all of you eventually got your stuff and that was because Charlie did hear your calls and he called the shipping companies for a resolution. I know for a fact that a lot of yous got your liners after cancelling your order and therefore got a free liner or whatever.

My advice to you Laura is to call your credit card company and tell them that you were billed twice and they will gladly take the money back from DPD pools/Pool Deals and return the money to your credit card.
