PowerSellers.com Deceptive selling practices New York City Internet

I purchased a camera on-line from PowerSellers.com for $340.00. The next day I got an email asking me to call and confirm. I called and was informed that the camera did not come with a battery, which I then had to purchase for an additional $40.00.  I was expecting approximately $380.00 in charges.

My credit card was billed approximately $430.00. I tried to call and cancel the purchase but there was no answer on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday. I called again and tried to cancel but was told there was an $85.00 restocking fee since the camera had shipped. When I questioned the charge, Customer Service said I'd purchased the camera, the battery and a $40.00 charger. That was the first I'd heard of the charger.

There was never any notice of shipping, no itemized receipt, and no tracking information was provided.

This company is totally deceptive -- do NOT do business with them. I fell for the lower price and now I'm paying for it. I should have simply paid the going rate from a reputable company in the first place. I will never do business with this company again.
