The problem is not just with me/my bill.  My community, neighbors, friends, all have the same situation and complaint.  Our bills go astronimically high-especially in winter.  Now wait for my reasons this is not possible-before saying in winter it is cold in PA or whatever.  We all have different situations, and no matter what we do or try-the bills went higher-the following months-impossible.  The refused to come check the meters.  They have rediculously unfair on track methods.  If the persons normal bill say is $48 for all the warmer months-say May-November.   They claim their budget billing will be based on your previous low bills(webpage will quote $90 set).  I got a similair result on their page, talked to customer service to verify it-then talked to customer service with their rep being aware and told the name of a witness talking with PPL rep and mysellf.  Guess what-they call back that night-when I am alone-and say the bill will be around $200/mo.  I refused and paid the lower amount.  Resulting in them billing me astronomical amounts.  This in itself is fraudelent practices-they have to charge you the lower price promised.  Now my reasons for winter-which automatically bills tripled to quadrupled starting November.  Also, they promised to weatherize/wrap my home.  And that I believe would have provided energy saving appliances-and replaced anything not working up to par.  One note-my propane heater is also small, and sufficient. 

First bill quadrupled-I cut down everything in the house-turned off lights, used candles.  One small TV used.  No big appliances or changes with routines-in fact cut down.  Next month-bill doubled.  Following month - again. 

Why is this impossible?  A few reasons.  Alternate energy was put in and used.  Propane.  I have economy thermostats in every room-which means I can turn them off.   And propane heats my entire home.  It is small.  I am always out at doctor appointments etc.  One day a rep told me look at my bill and usuage-it shows spikes or whatever when more kilowatts are used.  Once such time-I told her I was not even home.  I had a doctor appointment. 

I have spoken to neighbors-who had their breaker boxes checked or whatever.  Because they were told it could be with wiring etc.   And their bill remained high.  Even though they used alternative energy.  A lot of people will supplement with wood burning stoves, wood fireplaces, propane. 

We are not allowed to remove their meters or equipment - causing double bills if we change to lower charging suppliers. Just to have their meters here-we get a double bill.  I believe they got back the installation fees for that over the years.........

We all need an investigation or help out here.  Even on track is high - especially for lower income families.
