I was contacted by a lady named Carolyn Webb who supposedly was the Senior Loan Officer in regards to a personal loan that I had applied for, and she stated that it was approved.  The lady seemed really nice and to be honest, with regards to everything that she stated, we discussed personal things such as family and children, she utilized that to her advantage.  She asked for me to give her a fax number of which I did, and she faxed me the loan documents.  I looked at them over/over again and they seemed legitimate.  Upon review, I noticed the security collateral cause of which I would have to pay 7 months of the monthly payment equally out to $820.  Upon my review, I contacted her back and we discussed it.  I asked her about the collateral payment, and she stated that it needed to be paid upfront in order to secure the loan.  She also stated that it can be either mailed or wired through Western Union if I wanted.  Given the fact that if I wired it, it would be faster, she stated that would be a better way to go if I decided to have the money by December 24, 2009.  I proceeded to get the money to her by the next day, and she promised me that the loan will be funded by the following day by late afternoon.  She assured me that the money would be send and to give her a call so that we can wish each other a Merry Christmas.  She stated that within one week I would receive a welcome package and a payment book and it would be noted to the 3 credit bureaus of my on-time payments.  She also stated that I should not be concerned about the money exchange from here to Canada and that Canadian financiers would be willing to take more of a risk than within America concerning bad credit persons.  I asked her why I needed to send the money to a "Lynita Miller" in Toronoto, Canada.  She stated that Lynita was the processor of the financier and she was expecting it.  I don't know why I didn't question it, but I thought that there was still good people left in the world.

Of course I contacted the bank several times and to no avail, nothing.  Also, I tried calling her back 15 times and no response.  I assumed that because it was the holiday that is why I didn't hear back.  Michael Jamieson (from Customer Service called me and stated that there was a problem with my financing that is why I hadn't received it.  He stated that the financier took another look at my credit and stated that they needed an additional $800 in order to be secure, or I can have the option to cancel. I told him NO....and give me my money back. I want to cancel.  I want my money back in the same manner of which it was given. He stated that they only process on the 22nd of each month.  The earliest I could get it would be January 22nd. I asked for him to send me a copy in writing signed and he promised that he would.  However, it was after he got a little defensive about the questions that I was asking.  So we will see.
