My Honda Accord died while I was driving it on Gunbarrel Rd. For convenience sake I took it to Precision Tune on Gunbarrel Rd. A diagnostic test was run and I was called and informed that the alternator needed replacing and it would cost $527.20: $22 for the diagnostic test, $268 for the alternator, $172 for labor, and $65.20 tax.
Unfortunately I know nothing about cars and agreed to have Precision Tune fix my car. After talking to several people, mechanics included, I found out that I had been charged DOUBLE the cost of a new alternator, but a refurbished one had been installed, and I had been overcharged $71 on the labor.
I strongly recommend never taking your vehicle there, especially since it would have saved me $270.
