Precision Tune Auto Care My Surbuan was brought in to be fix ,so it would pass the emmision inspection . The truck was running very well when left there ,but when I return to get it it was running like a tractor . Union City, Georgia

This customer brought in a Suburban that had been sitting for a long period of time and she was having difficulty getting it to pass emissions.  She explained her financial situation and so our manager was trying to help her pass emissions without having to spend a lot of money so that she would have transportation.  The reason she was charged for an emissions test is that she had already had two previous tests and the third test is not free and our company is billed for the certificate when the test is run.  In assessing her vehicle our manager did add coolant and water because there was none in it when it arrived.  He also found the oil to be milky with coolant in it.  After further diagnostics it was determined that prior to coming to our shop the truck had a blown head gasket and/or head and that is why the coolant kept "disappearing" and the vehicle was unable to pass emissions.  We did not charge this customer for our diagnostic time.  Our automotive shop does not replace heads or gaskets and in addition do not think such an investment of time and money is a good idea on this vehicle due to it's multiple problems
