Thanks to John B when I started doing research about this company I came across his complaint against PrecictoMobile on Rip-Off. This is exactly what happened to us! No one used my phone to sign up with Predicto. Predicto just started sending me text messages yesterday. I started receiving strange texts from the following number 654-654. I had no idea who they were or what they were about, so I ignored them. They continued to be annoying, so I text back to stop texting me! They appeared to comply and said they would stop the texts. That was at 9:00pm on March 1, 2009

Today at March 2, 2009 I received another text from the same number 654-654. This is what the message read verbatim: You have been unsubscribed from Predicto. There is no charge for this message. You will receive no further charges and texts. Questions 1-800-360-0518 March 2 4:14 pm. How can I unsubscribe for something I never subscribed for?!

Like JohnB I called the 800 number and a Predicto spokesperson (also with a heavy foreign accent) told me that their records indicate that I had signed up for the game and even used a pin number they had provided me to do so. I told them I did not! I called the 800 number to inquire how they got my cell number, who they were charging and what they were charging for. They said I did so by a survey and were charging my cell phone company. I told them again I never signed up for any thing, let alone I never do any of those online survey and they had no right to charge my account with out speaking to me. They would not charge the $9.99 amount back to my account, nor give me any information on their company let alone speak to a supervisor. They wanted to send me a check and needed my information of course I said no! This is another of their deceptive tactics! I repeated, "You charged my cell phone account, you credit my cell phone account." They said they could not do that??? They needed to send me a check. Another deceptive tactic to get your personal information. I know it is possible that someone else signed up and may have indivertibly typed in a number incorrectly, but I certainly never signed up.

I contacted my Verizon wireless company immediately and they put a block on my phone for this number. As of today no charges where posted and they will block those charges. This was unsolicited and their practices are deceptive and unprofessional. Once I started doing research on this company they appear to have many complaints against their company I wish to log one more against PredictoMobile in New Jersey.

I also logged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against PredictoMobile which they have only a B- rating! My next step is to contact the local radio and TV stations and log a public complaint about this company, so no one else falls victim to their unsolicited and deceptive practices!
