I recieved a phone call "listed private", accusing me of calling a phone sex line. They told me that I owed them $80, and they were very rude in trying to get my information. I told them it wasn't me, that I wasn't even awake at that time. They even had a recording of the call and the voice wasn't even CLOSE to mine. Also, the credit card number was "invalid", I have NO IDEA where they got that either, I don't even OWN a credit card! I stated that it wasn't me, that there was NO WAY it could be me, they became upset and began to threaten me with legal action (ie: Sherrif's dept., lawyers, etc.). they proceeded to call me everyday and stated EACH DAY that "today is your DUE date."

I told them I wanted a paper bill in the mail. This was on a sunday, I recieved the bill THE NEXT DAY! (how?) I live in Michigan, they are in California? And the envelope had MY address on one of those address "stickers", also, there were NO postal markings of any kind on the envelope. They proceeded to call me THAT day, again it was the due date, and informed me that they didn't want a check mailed! They wanted me to get a "pre-paid credit card" and do it over the phone! I don't think so! That's when I looked up the company name of the internet, and found that they were a fraud/identity theft type of "scam". I filed a police report and contacted my local TV station to make sure other "innocent" people in my area weren't being scammed as well.
