I spent $60 on the Maui bracelet from Premier Designs, Inc. In the catalog this is a very beautiful piece with faux pearls/beads/genuine mother-of-pearl & shells with gold plate. The gold plate gave me pause, but everything from this company is fake gold of some sort. I was given a gift certificate for about a third of the price of this bracelet, and honestly I thought for $60 this should be a decent bracelet.

This bracelet literally fell apart within a few weeks. I returned it and what I received as a replacement was a joke. I'm pretty sure I now own somebody else's reject bracelet. This replacement bracelet not only also fell apart, the "gold plate" is so discolored it's pathetic looking. Even if I thought there might be a way, I couldn't attempt to clean it because where it's tarnished and discolored is where it falls apart! I can't even wear this piece of junk now. $60 down the drain. I've purchased $10 bracelets from Target and the like that are better quality than this piece of junk.

I've been laid off like many others and dealing with this economy like most everyone else, and then I've got some company selling me junk. Are you kidding me? Shame on you Premier Designs. Also, Premier Designs, Inc does have what they call a Golden Guarantee. Where's my guarantee that my time and money are not being wasted on junk jewelry?

New Maui Bracelet

Recently, I finally decided to contact Premier Designs' customer service directly concerning my two previous Maui bracelets.

My call was answered by Connie who was very helpful in getting me yet another Maui bracelet without any more money being laid out on my part.

I did not want to go through the dealer who originally sold me the first bracelet and exchanged it after it fell apart because 1.) she is a "friend of a friend", and 2.) the second bracelet was in such poor condition that I just thought that I was being ripped off by this company.

The new bracelet arrived today and looks new and in good condition.  I am very happy so far.

My sister bought the Maui necklace & it also feel apart.  She immeditely returned it for something else & has been pleased with that item.  My sister & I have a large collection of Premier Designs jewelry.  Most of it is very well made & always gets us tons of compliments.  I have received a few pieces that I wasn't happy with & exchanged for something else.....no questions asked.  Premier Designs really does stand behind their guarantee.   I know what it's like being unemployed & $60 is a lot of money.  Since the jewelry is returnable, why don't you call your jewelry lady and select another item.  If she's half-way decent, she should pay the return fee for you.  If she isn't, $5 for the return and getting a new piece of jewley that you can enjoy is better than having a junk bracelet you can't wear.  This shouldn't take you more than a couple minutes - my jewelry lady always does the returns for me.  I think they are supposed to.  Good luck & I hope you find something you really like.

How unfortunate to hear that you have a defect in a gift you received from your daughter.  I'm sure your daughter was truly excited to find a piece of jewelry that you would be delighted to wear and would think of her everytime look at it.  A black wrist was definitely not the intended desire and I'm sorry that this has happened.

Premier Designs is committed to providing a quality product and offering excellence in service.  I'd like to encourage you to contact their corporate office using their toll free number:  800-486-7378 and allow the customer service representatives to serve you.  Premier offers a lifetime guarantee on all their jewelry due to manufacturer defects.  Tarnishing or turning a wrist green is a defect that Premier will warranty.  Premier uses an electro-magnetic plating process utilizing precious metals over a base metal.   

I can appreciate that you don't want to "tarnish" your daughter's excitement in presenting a gift to you by telling her it's defective.  I hope you will contact Premier's headquarters so that you can proudly wear a bracelet that was given with love.

Premier Designs is Junk

I received a cuff bracelet from Premier Designs from my daughter...beautiful! But..within 2 days it had tarnished and my wrist was black. I could have got the same thing at the local Jewelry Warehouse for $1. I have a cuff from another company..not sure which one since it was a gift but it cost $50 and I have been wearing it daily for 3 years with no signs of tarnish...so I know its not my skin. I am just shocked at how junky this jewelry turned out to be....plus I am embarrassed to tell my daughter why I am not wearing it since it was a gift from her. She was definitely ripped off!

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience.  I'd like to suggest that you contact the 800# and speak with a member of the customer service department to explain your experience.  Premier will absolutely stand behind their product and if you give them the opportunity to rectify this situation, I'm confident that while it's taken awhile, you will be satisfied the outcome.

Premier Designs will replace your bracelet with a new one!

Premier Designs jewelry has been in business for 25 years and has been providing high fashion jewelry to ladies all over the United States for all these years . They are a company full of integrity and care for their customers.  They will replace a piece of jewelry that has a manufacturing defect within the first 60 days of owning it for FREE.
After 60 days for only $5 plus tax they will send you a new piece. If you are unhappy with the bracelet you know have please send it back again and they will replace it for you.  While no company is perfect Premier Designs only has a 2 1/2% return rate on all their jewelry so you know this must be an isolated event.
Please contact your jeweler who you purchased this from and I know they will be happy to assist you in this exchange.
