These people are RUDE! They have deducted payment from my account, put my bank funds on hold and now I,ve been charged with overdraft fees - for an account that was paid in full back in June 2006. I've called them and they have been very rude and they will not provide any other information in regards to the account. I have told them that I have paid the account in Full and they don't believe me. I now have to get a lawyer because this is unbelievable. In 2001 I had some financial problems and I was in debt for $5,500. 00 - thats right! thats it! at that time I was a single parent, I was only able to pay what I could at the time. I then contacted ACCI - Dept Counsler in which they hep me get organize and pay all my debt, I had a Visa and Mastercard and they advised me that Providian combined the balances for me to pay them about a total of $2100.00 for both accounts. I then paid $703.00 with ACCI and then paid Arrow Financial for this same account $2,282.45 -which is now a total of $2,985.45 which is the combined amount. I can't get a hold of anyone from Providian, however ACCI and Arrow Financial have sent me the letters in which I have paid. Can some advise what to else to do? They have sent me a Motion which is returnable on 2/15/07. Do I have to go to court?
