My mom recieved this letter, and a check along with it for $4,800 dollars. The check was from chase manhattan bank, and if you look closely you can see the voids on the front of the check. It was mailed in a blank envolope, with nothing but our address and a canadian stamp. If you recieve this letter, DO NOT believe it! It is very convincing, but it is most definetly a fake. Here are the contents of the letter:

TEL: 1778-317-0299  CLAIMS NO: FT-567-101-JK



We are pleased to bring this official notice which confirms that you are the 2nd prize winner in the second category of the USA Mega (under the international Sweepstake) draw held on February 11th, 2010. The serial number 5928549 attached to your name matched the first five lucky winning numbers 11-25-37-49 and subsequently won US $450,000.00 (FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS).



Prime finacial Services has been assigned by the international sweepstake organization to inform the winners and pay them off thier winnings. Payment will be made by a CERTIFIED CHECK, which will be delivered by our special courier company.

Enclosed is a check in the amount of US $4,800.00 which is provided to help you pay the tax of non-resident and this is payable to your tax agent.

TAX AMOUNT: $3,860.00 US DOLLARS.



You are advised to contact your claims agent: Ann Smith @ 1778-317-0299

Monday-Friday: 9am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-1pm to start your claim processing and to activate your check.
