This "company" tried to recruit me a little over a year ago. Like many, I paid my $200 bucks, but I was constantly being insured that there was legitimate training involved. I was told several times about having to be licensed for various aspects of the business. Of course, to be told several times, I had to ask several times.
I made it very clear to my "recruiter" that I was extremely skeptical of this. He talked me into just sticking with it for a couple of weeks, attend a couple of meetings, and then decide. So...I was invited, well..."begged" is more like it, to attend this "seminar" that will provide all the information I'll need, answer all my questions and pretty much remove all doubt from within my soul - or something of that nature.
Reluctantly, I attended. The hoopla was amazing! A huge hall was filled with happy, screaming, wide-eyed folk from all over the tri-state area. Loud music, big screens showing rich people saying they are great for choosing Primerica, blah, blah, blah... They even had some dude show-off his "amazing" recruiting pitch that has helped him become the top recruiter of the year or some crap.
All the while, my questions were NOT being answered. It was all about recruiting. If you don't recruit, you won't succeed. But....shouldn't you know how to do the job? Shouldn't you be selling the product, not the company? I left the stupid thing totally convinced that the world sucks and I am lucky that my mom didn't raise a fool.
I told 'em, "no f-ing way, gimmee my money back." I got the money back within two weeks, in full.
Now, I got some turd calling me, wanting to get me to do the Primerca thing. Wants to discuss it over a cup of coffee. I said I'd meet him, but I just want to stuff this crap in his face. I'll post the results of my little "meeting" tomorrow. LOL

Crystal,
I thought you said all offices were run differently.
How, then, could you vouch for "how connecticut runs their offices"?

Ah, priceless!
I don't know anything about this company other than what I read on this site. It seems to fall into two categories--those who got scammed or almost scammed, and those who were sucked in who are still defending it.
Steve, I think you are too smart for them. You don't sound like a sheep ready to do the Primerica salute. Good for you! The great thing about your meeting will be you poking holes in the Primerica sales pitch. This will probably unnerve your "programmer" and throw him off his pitch.
Have fun!

I am a Primerica employee. I am in Connecticut. and the office that I am a member of is nothing like you said. It all goes back to the person who runs THEIR office and train there people.
My office in Connecticut runs very well. When I was recruited I had to come to the Saturday meetings. Setup 6 appointments for training, and I received my $100.00 back. The other hundred went towards the schooling. Then My trainer signed me up for the Pre-licensing class that must be taken before I can go for my test. Then after the class my trainer was with me to the end. I go on my appoinments and I let my trainer know just in case on the appointment I might have a question and I can call her cell.
What I am saying is that you had a bad experience and I am very sorry that this had happen to you. But really, all offices are not like that. It all depends of the person who runs the office. Primerica does not have control on what goes on in every office around the world unless the head quarters get complaints about a specfic office then they will take the correct action to start and investigation.
To bad you are not local. You would really be surprise how connecticut runs their offices.
Good luck
