My husband and I kept getting phone calls at work for Primerica. When we didn't answer they called us at home. A friend asked us to just come to a meeting. We said no for several weeks only to give in because she was a friend. She said "Primerca teaches you how to get out of debt and save money".

We went to the first meeting and she asked us all these questions about how "on a scale of 1-5, did we care about or family , ect". When we finished all the questions she asked us to come to one more meeting to check out our needs based on our debt.

About a week later we went to her office at 7pm with our children in tote. (mind you we have two children under 2 years of age) Three hours later we finally were able to leave. She never did show us how to save money all she did was try to sell us a $310,000 life insurance policy. everytime we told her we didn't need that much she said "but you said your family is most important to you".

The calls just never stop!!! We went back 2 more times because we were just trying to be nice to a friend.

The topper of it all... she told us at the last meeting that "If she was truely doing things the Primerica way she would be sitting here shoving a $310,000 term life insurance policy down our throat." Instead she was shoving $250,000 down our throat and didn't let us leave until we signed the papers, even though our children were hungry and had nothing to eat!!!!

This company is nothing but a scam. They "save" you money by refinancing everything. But actually you pay more in the long run.
