I would liken my experience with Primerica's recruiter to this: The Assistant Shift Manager at your local Kentucky Fried Chicken calls your cell phone during peak hours unsolicited and says "Hi, I work for PepsiCo. Have you ever heard of us? We are opening a branch in your area and are looking for trainers/managers."

Then you meet the guy and find out he wants 200 bucks then you can be a fry cook until ya work real hard then someday perhaps own your own string of KFC's. of course you won't just be making money slingin' chicken but the rewarding part is...you are selflessly providing that most basic human need, food. what a bunch of crap!!!I am vexed by all the "Owner's" responses.

They seem awfully hateful for such a supposedly upstanding company purportedly whose only goal is a self-less need to help people out of debt. I am also struck by the apparent lack of education evidenced by their grammar, spelling and apparent inability to follow a point. It seems a small wonder they are resorting to pie-in-the sky pyramid scams, while belittling those who are skeptical of a company who operates under very questionable bait and switch policies.

I was approched via cell phone by a gentleman named Jay Wright here in Oklahoma City, who claimed my name was passed on to him as someone who may be seeking employment. Jay said he worked for CitiGroup. he asked if I had heard of them? Umm...duh? Of course I had, he then asked what I had heard, did i know they owned SmithBarney and Travelers' Ins. NOT ONCE was primerica mentioned in the call. He did use the "Looking for managers/trainers, yadda yadda .." speech and asked if I could meet him today at 1PM I agreed but cancelled after a heads up from a friend and a google search which yielded a ton of negative sites devoted to them.

I think it's a shame to bilk people in this economy out of $200 bucks. No company worth its' salt charges people to train them, especially charging them for their training manuals, gimme a break. Beware of Pre-Paid legal as well it is almost an identical rip-off.
