I apparently "signed" up with this company while I was signing up with classmates.com. The next day I had received the email about this, I IMMEDIATLY canceled the "membership". Note: before the 7 day trial was up.
I received an email with a cancelation confirmation number, etc.
A week later my bank account has been charged 19.95 from these people (Privacy Matters 123)!!!
I call and cancel the mebership; I email; I visit the web site; and try numerous things to cancel this memebership. Yet, it seems the membership won't cancel!!!
I call these people, AGAIN,(it took several tries to finally get someone on the phone), and the lady just quickly said they would refund my money in 2 business days and hung up.
I am in the process of waiting for that to happen!
In the mean time, I have reported them to the BBB, and called my bank to report a fraudulent transaction.
I will keep you guys updated on my situation.

two days later i received email responses to the emails i had sent. they told me my money would be refunded. the next day, the money was credited to my account. two days later i received a letter telling my membership was canceled as i requested. however, it said refund amount was $0.00. im assuming they already knew they refunded my money.
in any case, i got my money back. *yay!*
i WILL be keeping tabs on my account to make sure it doesn't happen again next month.
