Prize Claim Center Ripoff Steals Your Identity! Nationwide

CONSUMER BEWARE! If you get a call from a J.R. at "Prize Claim Center" from 1-866-503-9061, do not give him ANY information at ALL! This is a scam to get people's ID's.

He will call saying that you are a top 50 contestant in a state-wide drawing. He will ask you to "verify" your information, including your SS and maybe your driver's license too.

Every time we have talked to J.R. his story changes. There is NO supervisor or even another employee to talk to! He does not know the name of the company that is supplying the giveaways. He would not give me a physical address, e-mail address, etc.

This is the scam.."You are one of 50 finalists in a state-wide drawing. You are guaranteed a prize, the least of which is a TV valued at $600. There is a grand prize of a $36,000 Cadillac, a 10-day trip to Hawaii, a 3-day trip to (somewhere?), a $2,500 cashier's check, or a tv valued at $600. (Please NOte- You have to pay taxes on any prizes valued at $600 or more, which is part of why his scheme is convincing). He asks for your social because he needs it for "the taxes you have to pay on your prize".

According to him, every contestant will win at least the tv. I strongly urge everyone if they get a call from him, or anything similar, so report it and have them put you on the Do Not Call List.

Anyone who calls this number and reaches J.R. at the "Prize Claim Center" (which does not exist) PLEASE feel free to tell him what a truly HORRIBLE PERSON he is for stealing everyone's identity! Then place a Fraud Alert on your credit if you have been a victim.
