I was surfing the net for a good buy on a netbook. The price and descriptions of ProSource Wireless web looked really reasonable -- $74.99 for a Red color 7" netbook. It was just what I was looking for ,so I ordered it by calling the toll free number.  The sales person's name was Alan and he sounded like it was the same voice no matter which line I called on -- sales or customer service, etc. I think he's a one man show and made it sound like there were many departments. During our phone conversation, he kept having me hold (for other incoming calls?) and when he got back to me after multiple times, he asked if wanted to upgrade the memory, warranty, and battery. None of this was on his website, so I agreed to upgrade a few items.  The total was $129.99, and the netbook came in about a week. The internet was not functioning, so I called to get an "authorization number" to return the item. He tried to exchange the product, but I knew it wouldn't work and wanted a refund. I sent the netbook back by priorty mail. When I knew it was recieved by him through the delivery confirmation number, I called to find out when I would be receiving a refund. To my astonishment, the phone number for ProSource Wireless was not in service. So I got scammed out of my money, plus the $15 it took for me to mail it to him!! It's too late in the game to even think about getting a refund. The lucky ones who ordered earlier in the game got refunds, but now it's too late for me.  Alas ...

Response to Prosource Scammed Me out of $$$

AUTHOR: KarenM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2012

All is not lost!  ProSource is everything you said and more - they are the most deceitful, unscrupulous lying company on the face of the earth.  They scammed me out of $400, and I contacted every consumer agency known to man, but was unable to get any relief from any of them.  I finally appealed to my credit card company, and they refunded my money.

Please contact your bank or credit card company and give them all the details, and they should refund your money.  There is more or less a "support group" of sorts of about 7 or 8 of us who have been scammed by them, and we've all gotten our money back through our credit card companies.

Good luck!  And learn your lesson about ordering from unknown online vendors!  I certainly have learned mine!!
