Protect Your Home Authorized Dealer Of ADT Protect Your Home does anything but Indianapolis Indiana

My husband (Veteran) and I were considering having a security system installed in our home. ADT contacted us after a "pop up" showed on my computer. We agreed to have them install the system since we were thinking about it anyway.

The gentleman from Protect Your Home came on January 19, 2009. We paid the $99.00 installation fee before the guy even showed up. He showed up and sold us additional equipment costing another $462.00. The monthly monitoring fee would be $40 for the next 36 months.

The very next day, my husband found out that as members of USAA the monthly monitoring fee would be only $20.00 if we went through USAA. So, my husband called Protect Your Home asking if they could match the price. They refused to match the monitoring price.

Since we were still in the three day "TRIAL" period to cancel our contract, we requested to cancel our contract. Suddenly, they became the rudest people on earth. Instantly, they could no longer speak with my husband, since the monitoring was in my name alone.

I called and stated I wanted the system pulled. During the conversations I stated "Maam, my husband said in order for this system to be cancelled and pulled I need to speak with a supervisor." She replied, "You can tell your husband not to tell me how to do my job. I know how to do my job."

When I finally did speak to the supervisor, I informed him of her unnecessary rudeness. She was on the phone listening and started laughing stating that I was too much.

By then, my husband and I were very concerned. We attempted to put a stop payment on our check (mind you this was only the second day) only to find out that they used our check for an EFT and the money was already removed for our account. ALL BEFORE THE THREE DAY TRIAL WAS UP AND WE STILL HAD THE RIGHT TO CANCEL.

They guy came to pull the system on the 21 of January. It is now February 22, 2009 and we still do not have a refund of our $562.00. I have made several phone calls and they tell me they have to issue a check for an audit trail and it will take 30 days or more. WHAT A SCAM! I have no idea if we will ever see our money again!
