I'm not gonna write everything they did cuz it'd take a week but in a nutshell, I totally believe all the reports posted & really, really wish there was a way I could get the $5,100 back that I paid for the car, nevermind the repair costs.. Salesman talked about the 3 month/3k mile warranty on 'all lubricated parts' and it made me feel comfortable so make $1,100 down payment & proceed to paperwork where I learn they CHARGE $594 for the warranty. Right then I told Javier Heredia (finance mgr) that I needed another day to think about it to which he pulls out a calculator & says 'ok but you're liable for 25% of the selling price, which is.. (Punches calculator buttons) about $700' so I only would've gotten back $400 of the $1,100 I'd given the manager 10 minutes before. This was my first car-buyin experience & didn't know better (tho I knew something was wrong) so finish paperwork and on the fwy driving home car shook violently @ 65 mph (couldn't test-drive on fwy due to insurance) It needed alignment BADLY (which they handled for free) & new tires cuz they were balding (also free, tho tire shop 'Arturo's Tires' threw on some used-but-not-bald tires) & then coolant exploded out within a week or two. I'm actually really lucky (considering other reports) that the car ran decently for 19 months but finally blew a softball-sized hole in engine block due to lack of oil 3,030 miles AFTER THEY PERFORMED THE LAST OIL CHANGE!! These are just SOME of the problems that I experienced at public motors but they are no longer in biz cuz of lawsuits. The lot is now empty but the posters & some decorations remain today. If any class action suits exist I'd like to get on board- I've still got some receipts and maintenance records but was forced to take it as a total loss cuz it blew up @ 3,030 miles after last oil change & those 30 miles made the difference. How'd they pull that off, putting in just enough oil so it'd run to BARELY OVER 3k miles??? Anyways, $5,100 and roughly $1k in repairs/maint. over 19 months (blew up 3/15) & a year later, here we are- they're (allegedly) outta business due to lawsuits & I'm complaining about something that apparently I can't do anything about. Do your homework, people, especially when it comes to buying used cars. I think that's all.
