I subscribed to an add for 5 magazines for 27.00 and read the fine print to make sure this was all I would pay. After finding out I did not have sufficient funds in my account I check my bank account to find that instead of being charged $27.00, I was charged $87.84. That was the 2nd of March.
Today is May 8th and I still have not received a refund and have been calling every week only to receive an excuse as to why I have not received my money. The last excuse was that PublicationsMax changed credit card processing companies and that the previous company was not posting. It has been three days and again, I still do not have my refund.
I have already contacted the US Attorney General so now I will contact the Illinois Attorney General and my bank. Companies like this should be held accountable for their unethical and illegal business practices.

I finally received my refund today (05/14/09). This is 2 1/2 months after I requested the refund and I had to go through my credit card to do this. No interest was paid to me from them holding my money for this time period. Companies like this need to be held accountable for their actions.
