I cannot warn you enough to stay away from Publicity Guaranteed. I am a small business owner and signed a contract with them two years ago now and it has been nothing but problems ever since. First of all, their contract is atrocious and by signing it, I set myself up for disaster. I now have legal training and wish I had begun my legal education prior to signing this contract.

My issues arose with Publicity Guaranteed when I decided, after being a client of theirs for some time, that their placements were not benefiting my business. My advertisements were being placed in small town newspapers and no-name periodicals and my credit card was automatically being charged for each placement, without me ever seeing an invoice or summary of charges. When I chose to cancel the contract, I chose the wrong medium by which to cancel (their contract stipulates that contract termination may only occur by either party sending a 30 days advance written notice via overnight or registered mail.)

Unfortunately, I was not aware of this and assumed that I had adequately terminated the agreement. I did not hear from PG for sometime after cancellation when, approximately seven months later, I checked my credit card statement to find that PG had charged me 3000 dollars for a placement. When I contacted them, they claimed that they did not receive notice of termination by the proper medium and did not consider the contract terminated. They then threatened to take me to court for over 15,000 dollars if I did not pay the 3000 dollars owed.

I agreed to pay the 3000 dollars, cancelled the contract by overnight mail, and assumed all was settled. Then, some time later, I received a court summons notifying me that PG was bringing me to court claiming that I owed them 15,000 dollars. I am still not sure where they came up with this amount, as they have always withdrawn funds for all monies owed and I have paid for all known services.

After doing some research, I have found that I am not the only person to have had major issues arise out of a contractual relationship with Publicity Guaranteed. There are numerous warnings by frustrated consumers stating that PG did not perform the terms of their contract and then brought lawsuits against their clients. (If you would like to check up on their CURRENT lawsuits in which they are the Plaintiff, check out the following link for the Fairfax County General District Court, where they have a whopping 22 cases currently in the court system: (((link redacted))) . Just do a search for Publicity Guaranteed and choose the Fairfax County General District Court.

I sincerely hope that you heed my warning to stay away from Publicity Guaranteed, as well as company president Alex Konanykhin and partner Nat Kurok, who has been rather unpleasant throughout this entire experience. I truly believe that they are a predatory company, entering into contractual relationships with small businesses with the intent to one day bring lawsuits against these businesses.

#2 UPDATE Employee

Report above false. The mistake here was not made by PublicityGuaranteed or it's staff

AUTHOR: Alk - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 13, 2009

I am an employee with PublicityGuaranteed and have been directly involved with the account above from day one and can provide all necessary information to refute the claims above. The report above is false. PublicityGuaranteed acted in good faith throughout and provided exemplary services in all areas.

The mistake here stems from the fact that the client/complaintant never cancelled( as was claimed at the time) and only assumed we were no longer providing services for him - getting him valuable press coverage, because there was a period of time where we were not able to obtain coverage for the client. We had sent emails to our main contact with the client's company, explaining what we were working on, as well as updates. Everything was going as planned. Once we had some additional results, we sent the results to the client and it's employees. Unbenknownst to us one of the employees - our key contact, was no longer with the company, so all previous contact had not been relayed to the owner. We also left voicemails with an active number of the key contact. Finally the results were then forwarded to the owner/client, who expressed at that time that he had assumed we were no longer providing services. After an explanation that this was not the case and with the emails to prove this was an active account, the client claimed he cancelled on the phone with our staff which is not possible as we reviewed phone logs and there were no calls to him or from him during the period claimed. He agreed. He then claimed a fax was sent, which also was reviewed and there was no fax sent to or from him. We then asked for a copy of any fax and he didn't have one. He then claimed an email to me, which again was reviewed and no email was found nor was he able to provide an email. Finally on the phone the client came clean and stated that he could no longer afford any pr outreach or marketing, including the latest results. The reason for his cancellation was NOT because of our work. We have emails we can share here which show he and his staff were VERY HAPPY with the coverage obtained. Elated. The client explained that his business was going through some tough times and that was the reason for the cancellation. I immediately informed all staff to stop work on the account. I also made a request to the client that he post accurate information on this site to reflect our true relationship, which was always very-veryprofessional, with supreme client care and service by PublicityGuaranteed. His staff even provided a reference check to several potential clients of ours and in that reference refered to our services and staff as very professional and outstanding.

There was no ill will from PublicityGuaranteed to the client ever. We reviewed the billing issue and once it was determined that there was no issue, we parted ways with the client amicably with the knowledge we had a great campaign. Ufortunately the client/complaintant, who admits the above is not an accurate description of the relationship and services provided, can not alter the above report, which he claims was not filed by him but by someone around him who was acting in haste and without the proper facts.

I am happy to provide all pertinent information to anyone interested. Publicity Guaranted always acted professionally and we have emails from the client's staff and the client/complaintant which show they were very happy with our work.

PG Working with Client to Resolve the Issue at Hand

AUTHOR: Smallbusinessowner - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 22, 2008

Publicity Guaranteed has been in contact with the client and is working to resolve this issue. They have since admitted to an invoicing confusion that resulted in PG not receiving the funds that had been paid by the client. Although a lawsuit is pending in the courts' system with PG as plaintiff in this case, PG has agreed to remove the lawsuit from the courts' system and settle this issue agreeably.
