Dear Publsher's Clearing House: Who is Trudy Dinkins?
I have been receiving emails from Publisher's Clearing House for a number of years now, and on a daily basis. Over the last few years I have received a number of emails informing me that if I do not respond, the entry number assigned to me will be given to another person, namely one Trudy Dinkins. And, should this entry number turn out to be a prize-winning one, than said prize will be awarded to Ms. Dinkins in lieu of me.
For the first several of such emails, Trudy Dinkins was said to be a former PCH prize winner and that she hailed from Gallantin, Tennessee. One day, a couple of years ago, I received another one of these entry emails. However, this time, Ms. Dinkins was clearly stated to be a resident of Revere, Massachusetts.
Every email I have received like this one since has returned Ms. Dinkins to Gallantin, except the last one I received a few months ago which quite clearly (and suspiciously, in my opinion) failed to list her place of residence.
The last email of importance here I received over this past weekend. PCH is notorious for providing links in their entry emails to allow one to view a video of their most recent prize winning moment. I had been anticipating one for a couple of months: accoring to PCH, a $5000-for-Life prize was supposed to have been awarded on November 30, 2012. The video for this - and all others like it - should have been viewable through such an email link as mentioned above in about a fortnight. However, no such video was ever indicated.
This latest link concerns me for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the winning moment was supposed to have been videotaped on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Again with daily emails from PCH, this struck me as odd as I was not aware of any prize being awarded on that date. Secondly, the video link contained a photograph which one would have supposed was taken on the occasion: two PCH Prize Patrol employees standing on either side of the prize winner who was holding one of their infamous "big cheques." What really surprised me in this photograph was the prize recepient herself. She was clearly the SAME woman I had been seeing in various emails from PCH for years now. She was none other than - you guessed it - Trudy Dinkins!
I have a few observations to draw from these emails. Firstly, if one fails to enter the contest as requested, and the entry number is clearly indicated as marked for an identifiable alternate individual, is this not tantamount to fixing the contest? Secondly, why is PCH inconsistent about the residential location of Ms. Dinkins? Does she reside in Gallantin, Tennessee or in Revere, Massachusetts? And thirdly, why was Ms. Dinkins clearly shown in a video link as the prize winner of a PCH contest that was not, to my knowledge, ever announced?
I believe it is time, Publisher's Clearing House, to come clean about Trudy Dinkins.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Trudy is my wife and we do live in Gallatin tn. We did win the $15,000. prize and Trudy was chosen as an alternate winner if the winning number was not returned. You can check with PCH as to the results of that.
But yes it is possible to win the PCH more than once!!!!

PCH SCAM - MORE INTERESTING BY THE MINUTE

Thanks for the post.
Well, well. So a winner's "winning moment" video is exposed by a relative as staged, a prize-winning game moves backward to prevent a winning prize, and emails are not answered. Well, well indeed.
Leroy Brown's relative's story rather shocked me. This is tantamount to a bribe. Not to metion a clear case of public fraud.
As for Trudy, well, she simply does not appear in PCH mailers & emails anymore. I wonder why. You don't suppose that someone has read this report, do you?
If one enjoys "hunting them down," I have another idea where to look. Try PCH Search & Win. There is a posting of individuals that supposedly have won prizes; cash, Fandango movie tickets, gift cards, etc . . . All that is listed are the prizes won, the first name and first letter of the surname of the winner, where he/she lives and how long ago the prize was won (always minutes or hours prior). I swear that those names are re-hashed over and over again. It would be quite interesting to monitor that. I've been searching daily on that for 2-3 years now and have never won anything. After reading all this, I don't think anybody has, really.

They are playing games

I have emailed them directly several times in which I raise the same questions you raised here. It is odd that they always answer my queries within a 2-3 days. But this issue about Trudy, remains unanswered. I had got responses to my emails asking about Trudy, but the responses all stated, "We will get back to you about Trudy Dinkins shortly". They are not going to get back to me as far as Trudy Dinkins goes....I sent them the 1st email more than 1,5 months ago, and I had since then sent 4-5 emails requesting that they get back to me and I stated that they told me they would but to date have not. I strongly feel that this is definitely an area of topic that they cannot deny and cannot come up with any plausible excuse. I have queried them on many things in the past, and they have responded with some very good "excuses". This is issue about Trudy is one that maybe they can be nailed on. Let me tell you about an incident: On you tube I saw a video of prize patrol giving a guy named Leroy Brown the grand prize winner announcement. About a month later, someone claiming to be the cousin of Leroy posted a comment to that video on you tube in which the cousin stated thatLeroy did not really win and that PCH paid him some thousands of dollars to enact that whole prize patrol event. I then emailed pch and asked them about that you tube video. 2 days later there was a new comment (I believe pch posted it) which stated Leroy Brown does not have any cousins or relatives! So do I supoosed to believe that someone as old as Leroy has no family whatsoever, no relatives whatsoever? Then a few days later, all the comments to that video were deleted....PCH has a new bingo game that concludes the pch slots game. If you play iy it, watch the wheel intently. It spins initially clockwise. But sometimes it lands on a cash prize amount and I have timed it after noticing what it does. When it lands on a cash prize amount, the wheel literally will stop on the cash prize and remain there for up to 20 seconds and then suddenly will start spinning counter clockwise, like it doesnt want you to win. I emailed them about it and the response was that the game is for illustrative purposes only....always an "excuse" . Since then I have kept video taping all my game plays to all their games....I am not crazy, I have the videos to prove what I am saying.

More On Trudy Dinkins
AUTHOR: Bojobunny - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Monday, January 21, 2013
I suppose I should have done this before posting my initial complaint, but here is what I have since learned of Trudy Dinkins:
Trudy Dinkins won $15,000 from PCH on 23 December, 2010. The articles online concerning her prize win indicate that she resides in Gallatin, Tenessee.
Accordingly, the information provided by PCH, to a certain extent, is correct. She hails from Tennessee and is indeed a former prize winner.
So why an email stating she is from Revere, Massachusetts? And why indicate or show her "winning" moment as recent? It happened over two years ago. Such deceptions are unwarranted. Certainly, she hasn't won again, has she? The odds of that are completely out of the question, given one's chances of winning anything at all the first time.
And then, of course, there is the initial concern: isn't telling me that if I don't respond to a particular PCH email that the prize number, reserved for me, will automaticallhy pass to a specifically identified former prize winner tantamount to prize fixing? Only if the number is a winning number, one could argue. But identifying a winner before she wins is at the very least dishonest and unethical. One certainly could do better than this, eh PCH?
