Had contact from a company calling itself Birkdale Financial Group, saying I had been approved for a debt consolidation loan and to call 877-446-3110 ext 225 and talk to agent Daniel Walker. Internet search did not bring up a BF Group and I find it very suspicious that they have the same toll free number as the Sweepstakes Scam.

It is a SCAM, moron. You COULD go to jail if you try to cash that check. I think the banks are getting wise to the scam now too.

The letter I received has no return address, and the stamp is from Canada. If the company is from New York why is the check from a company from Farmers Branch, Tx ?
