NISSAN North America has shown blatant disregard for unscrupulous business practices by Nissan Dealerships that are costing consumers sometimes thousands of dollars per transaction with little to no repercussions. Some examples of these unethical and deceptive practices include (Dealer Add Ons *VIN Etch, Paint Protection, Fabric Protection, Protection Portfolio Packages, GAP Insurance, etc...) while making it appear that these are not optional in the finance office. All of these add ons are added to the amount financed which means the consumer pays interest on the total amount. Nissan dealerships have been falsifying loan applications to get consumers approved for vehicles they simply can't afford and are also doing what is called "Spot Delivery" where you think you have been approved, drive home only to be contacted by the dealership to say you will have to put more money down or finance at a much higher percentage rate. After having to report "Puente Hills Nissan" located in City of Industry, CA to the Federal Trade Commission, State Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau as well as the F.B.I. for dealer fraud I wanted to bring to the public's attention the need for complaints to be filed with the proper agencies so that any dealership using deceptive and unethical tactics will be investigated and charged accordingly. Nissan Corporate however has turned a blind eye and when complaints have been filed to Nissan Consumer Affairs, consumers are quickly referred back to these very dealerships that committed the fraud to begin with. Nissan Corporate needs to be accountable and more rigorous standards need to be demanded. If you or someone you know has experienced anything similar to the above file a complaint with the FTC, State Attorney General, BBB, Local News, DMV, etc...As consumers we have the power to say NO MORE!

The specific dealership I listed in my initial review has since rescinded (cancelled) my vehicle contract per my request and the GM is refunding any monies due to me. Since I am no longer a NISSAN Customer I can now say I am satisfied with the outcome.
